So, if we don't verify our account are we not allowed to win credits or just not allowed to purchase the elite items in the pro shop?

I am wondering if putting style is a factor regarding the new, bead/grid. I rarely touch the aimer except for longer, giant putts over 30 feet or so. I hit early or late in different amounts by my "forever" habit. I find the new set-up as a benefit for my style.

It is a fine line that has to be walked between new players and older players.  New players need the game to be enjoyable and not so frustrating that they quite after a couple of rounds.  This seemed like a way to not make any drastic changes to the game, but do something that could make it easier for someone new.

WE found this game a grind at the start but WE persevered..

Don't pander to the plebs with no staying power Just to grab a few $ ?

Surely a loyal customer base is a must ?

That said, every business needs new influx of cash but to start off with the premise to appease newbies is...phfffft

More sign ups since the marriage with Golf Channel ?

It won't last, honeymoon period is all...( it's a finite well to drink from )

Look after the stalwarts who play through thick and thin, whatever you do every month !!

This has nothing to do with Golf Channel.  This has to do with growing a game and a product.  Relying on existing players is a recipe for disaster.  Look at some of the other game companies out there.  King Games, Candy Crush, derives 80% of their revenue from one game.  What happens when people get bored of the game?  You have to continue to grow your game, grow your users, and grow the options that they have. Look I get a lot of the older players are upset about the change.  That being said it really is a minor change and one that won't effect your game much.  Give it a chance.  Maybe it grows on you.

Agreed, I'm saying that more import is being put on new players that maybe less than 5% will continue over 6 months ?

    Which 90+ % will ?

I am not upset, the changes you have made might've cost me 1 shot a round, until I found a work around..I could set the meter at my desired strength, let meter run. shut my eyes and STILL hit close enough to the ding line to putt most under 4ft !!

The point I was making was relying on existing players is a no no, but, alienating them is a no no too ?

Also because those games folded by having one income stream, doesn't then make WGTBaseball the way to go, as I guess WGT.Com are finding to their cost ?

    This one Shoe..

It seems you are inundated !  lol

My answer to the alienating part, look over the past year how many features that we came out with that were requested by high level players.  Just off the top of my head... Stand bag plus, mulligans, and soon the option to remove the caddy. Some things that will be released will be geared to newer players and some will be geared to higher players.  It's not always going to satisfy everyone.

I can't comment to much on the Baseball because honestly I am just not informed enough to make a educated response.

Makes it easier to read the break.  This is especially true with longer putts.  I remember when I first started playing, I would have a 40 foot put and I would just say screw it I have no idea which way this ball is going to go!  So aim at the middle of the hole and pray lol

Personally I never remember caring.  I do understand the need for growth, and if some one thinks this may help it's revenue neutral for me as I don't care.  In time others may just get used to it.

I still simply do not get:

    1. ID Verification

How is WGT possibly in a position to check this stuff in any meaningful way.  Are you in compliance with any official guidelines???

    2. Privacy

What can WGT do to convince me that my information is safe.  How is this an unreasonable question.  In Australia (will be very similar in the USA) if you are in finance you need to comply with this type of thing ASIC. What does WGT comply with.

Without the above the $7 a sleeve and gifting is just short term swag bag filling to me, and several reading these threads.  It's not personally having a go at you to ask how a company is managing this, and just saying ID needed to gift is not enough at best. Not personal and reasonable questions???

We are in compliance with the gamin laws which is why some states and countries are not eligible.  I will post that list up the moment I get it.

We took great pains to figure out ways to keep all the information safe.  We have protected servers.  I can't give you specifics, due to privacy reasons.

Verifying your account just has to do with the Elite shop and being able to cash out your credits for gift cards.

I don't use the "miss ding" style putting but I kinda like the new putting grid with the brighter dots.

Yeah Shoe, agree, WGT done some fine work..yet there always seems to be a cost..

    1 step forward, 1 step back ?

    Treading to stand still..

Only been here 2 years but ...

1st game I happened across and ( just one example ) no Open last year or other as was intimated when I signed up, not that that was a factor but with hindsight...

It sometimes seems that the loyalty I show ( even if PP had come to fruition, I'd still be here too ) as do many others, can sometimes seem an excercise in futility as WGT doesn't feel the need to reciprocate ???

    Andy

Done...hit well out there all !!
