    WGTdbloshoe:
We are in compliance with the gamin laws which is why some states and countries are not eligible.  I will post that list up the moment I get it.

    Thank you for the response.

When you do post it could you please confirm who decides that you are in compliance with those laws please.

Not trying to be funny with you but if I am going to consider giving you private details it's all reasonable I think.

For instance here saying you comply with ASIC is only possible if they have inspected you and given a license number.  Presumably you therefore have a license number from a compliance governing body for gaming?

    WGTdbloshoe:
We took great pains to figure out ways to keep all the information safe.  We have protected servers.  I can't give you specifics, due to privacy reasons.

Fully understand you can't give specifics which is why I asked (just now specifically) for the license number issued to you of the governing body that says you (WGT) are competent to do so.

Governing bodies (for compliance) is a well understood business practice, and needed to give confidence.  Without that no way would I swap details.  Where I work all our license numbers are at the bottom of the website, and on any correspondence.  I could not easily see yours that's all.

As say not personal.  No specifics can be given and that's taken as a gimme, just a sensible request I would ask any one before I gave over personal details.

Presumably the license number is to hand? May be an idea to list who you comply with and the issued license number from that body put next to the other information.

I don't have a problem with the bigger dots, but they sure as he!! won't help a newbie putt better, reading and practice is the ONLY way to putt better....

The rest of world is p!ssed about it but the Americans are the ones really affected if I am right...everyone else may be as well, I'm not a tax lawyer..

Have none of you been to a casino? Win a jackpot and get a cash voucher, when you cash in a large amount of money they either TAKE the taxes out of it or you sign a voucher, get it!

Some of the members are sitting on a ton of credits, one I know has over 500,000, heard some have over a million...cash them in and as Shoe said, "WGT" follows the US gaming laws....

There is no other valid reason to need any more info on us than they already have! LOL

First of all  it is to bad WGTicon or WGTdbloshoe are in this mess, they had no say in this to start with , but  you are the only one we talk to ,i understand  or better i prefer to be in my shoes today .  but  tell the power in place  that it was a good ideal maybe for new comers ,but for some and many of us it was uncalled for, no need to change things  for the sake of changing  or doing something! , can we a least have the old better looking grid back as an option   ASAP ?            Hope  WGT   take,s the time to read  a simple request .

    If this-

    WGTdbloshoe:
The #1 complaint we receive from new players is how hard it is to putt.

    and this-

"The majority of new players don't even realize the forums are here."(quote from WGTshoe on page 2? Sorry, I don't know how to grab quotes from two different posts"

are true.....then wouldn't it have been easier to find a way to steer newer players in the direction of the forums where they could find the help they need from the many, many threads that members have started to help other players with their putting? You'd kill three birds with one stone- you would point those new players in the direction of they help they need (putting), you wouldn't upset the veteran players who have been using the same putting grid for years and you'd make the newer players aware that the forums even exist.

Say a new player signs up, maybe for the first 30 days they are here they get a special pop-up after they log in that says something like, "Are you trying to learn how to putt, chip, flop or punch a shot? Check out the WGT Forums Section and learn how to do all of those from the most experienced players on WGT." Tell them how to get to the forums and let them find out how much great advice and help is out there.

After their first 30 days are up they get the same pop-ups that the rest of us do.

I like the idea of having something in the options menu to set the dots back to the old way as well.

    Just an idea.

    MC

    Just some thoughts.

    1. Dots look dumb .. cheapen the look of the game .. but don't effect game play (for me at least)
    2. Verifying accounts will be fine for those exceptional players who can win enough credits to cash them for gift cards - Most of us (including me) will never get close to one so it won't matter at all.
    3. Being able to cash for gift cards will indeed make more people try to figure out a way to cheat the system.
    4. $7 balls will only make the exceptional players better --- since most of us can't compete now the gap will just get wider --- and drive folks to do different things.    I for 1 have just downgraded my ball to cheaper Nike's .... so I'm now 10 strokes worse in an 18 hole match instead of 9 ... does it matter ???
    5. Lastly --- anyone who reads these forums and/or has played the game for a while knows WGT has it's own agenda - beetching and moaning won't help.

    Again .. some thoughts.

    WGTdbloshoe:
Putting Grid Bug - We are aware and are trying to get this fixed asap.  I know it sucks that it seems that things seem to break every release.  It is not intentional and we do want to get it fixed ASAP.

Well I see you are getting a bit of a hammering on here WGTdbloshoe. lol.

First off thanks for fixing the chipping bug so fast & for informing us all of what's going on. ( Much better Shoe) This site has been lacking this from day one.

Hope the surprise on Saturday is good for me maybe you will turn off verm.

Since you fixed that putting grid bug today I can not log into your site using google chrome.

I have to ask you this Shoe in your Quote above  I know it sucks that it seems that things seem to break every release. why?

Anyway thanks for keeping us more informed hope is not just this day or week though

    Agree with all said above.

Make the dots an option we can choose - old style / new style.

I have just perfected my putting these last few weeks, and now this screws it all up for me.

Very encouraged to hear we may soon be able to dump the caddie, oh joy

Unfortunately I do not understand what is the contradiction of some updates.

We talked about the fact that some new users have complained that it is difficult to close in a decedente way on the green, hence the update of the putting grid. Well, but if new users are complaining that the game is difficult and that it is clear, it is practically difficult to win or compete at the highest levels, because it also update the high end of a product necessary for a good competition, such as the new Nike products .

Certain products, especially balls, can be unlock at certain levels and in the presence of a good amount of credits. It's a contradiction because, with this new product, Top Players will continue be Top Players and dramatically lowering the average winnings of the most important awards, and for this you just take a look at the first round of the Transamerica with scores below 55.

I think that is a contradiction, but a personal thought.

    David.
