I still can't work out after seeing several threads on the issue why this hasn't been rectified in an update.

OK so this may come as a shock to some of the more 'culturally less aware'.

United Kingdom is NOT a country. Many would say of course we know that but it would seem the folks at WGT are possibly scratching their heads in confusion over this very thing.

The UK comprises of countries. These countries each have a flag

    England

    Northern Ireland

    Scotland

    Wales

So it's quite astonishing that WGT still doesn't have flags for these prominent countries yet it has flags for some of the most remote and obscure places on the planet!

It even features WGT courses in these countries but doesn't have their flags represented.

In every professional golf tournament these countries are recognized and their flags are represented.

We're not talking about states or provinces or counties or  territories. These are countries as much as the USA. It should have been fixed a long time ago.

Currently England's flag the St.Georges cross is incorrectly displayed under Guernsey which has a different flag. Flags for Scotland, Wales and N.Ireland aren't anywhere to be found.

It should be a very very simple task to get this sorted... assuming the work isn't being outsourced to an office of chimpanzees?

With all due respect, please WGT give us our flags.

There have been lots of threads on this. It's hardly surprising that WGT has it wrong as most of the world and even some British people don't understand the differences. All of your passports say British. There are no English embassies. You compete in the Olympics as Great Britain but at football as separate countries. It is a bit confusing.

These threads tend to get bogged down in silly details.

My view is that, all of these flags are used in real  golf. So why can't WGT simulate what happens in the real world, here?

One thing is certain, I cannot carry on like this -

If i was from one of these 4 countries, i would find it offensive WGT is willing to SELL me an avatar with my countries colors, but won't give me my own flag to fly.

There has to be a reason behind this, has anyone just asked Icon or Shoe to find out why?

WGT are abviously aware that these countries exist as we can buy an avatar representing either Scotland , England , Ireland or Wales .

From a cynical point of view , could it be that changing the flag would bring in no revenue ?

No pun and no offence intended, but:

What do you guys think of
    - the Act of Union 1707 and
    - the Act of Union 1800

which - AFAIK - joined three countries to one, resulting in one sovereign and one parliament for the three ancient kingdoms?

Is this not the current political reality, resulting in a common flag, the Union Flag?

Golf forum, no politics or religion. Please don't try de-rail another of these.

Pardon me, but this has been a dozen subjects at least, without any reaction of WGT.

Apparently, without details there is no standing for this quest - silly is what remains IMHO.

    Your words, not mine.

It's possible WGT uses the United Nations Member State List as a guide. I mention this because when I looked at the list, England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales are not listed individually.
