Geo-political borders and UN membership has feck all to do with it .

WGT won't add anything to their original programming unless it earns a buck, we can ask this until we are blue in the face, nothing will change.

They know they won't lose revenue by not adding them, therefore they do not give two fecks. They know we are addicts and won't go to re-hab over the lack of a flag. Let's face it, we aren't valued customers to WGT, more like faceless cash cows.

Icons company line non-answer in here shows this to be true.

Maybe they'll give a feck for my reason wanting the England, Scotland, etc. flags shown.  You see, if I have a UK friend and I'm deciding whether or not to Skype with them, I need to know if they're Scottish as I canna oonderstahnd a single fooking thing they say! ;o)

I still think that's the reason WGT uses the flag they do for those Countries.

Isle of Mann/Vatican City maybe others have a flag and not UN members...

I understand this thread, but they already gave the answer to it so why another thread...

The US flag doesn't have the right amount of stars or stripes and I don't like that, but not gonna start a thread or demand change...

The only time I even think about the flag is if there is a post about s'thing and I have no idea what the poster is trying to convey, I look at the flag to see if it might be lost in translation or the poster is that f'n stupid....like some of my posts.

I hope you get your flags, but if they removed the US flag today I wouldn't care, probably wouldn't even notice it...

I can't see that^ as even a remote possibility because the US, Canada, Cuba and Mexico all have their own representation  to the United Nations. Scotland, Wales, England and Northern Ireland are represented at the United Nations under the banner(flag) of the United Kingdom.

Of course US, Canada, Mexico and Cuba aren't a United Kingdom. My point was one of principle. In theory if you can imagine a scenario where those 4 countries were politically united but still individual countries, if any one of them was denied the flag of their country but forced to adopt the flag that unites them, citizens of each country might have something to say about it.

Probably right and still that doesn't make sense. As alosso pointed out there's many  inconsistencies with their list. I think they need to scrap the political list which is a mess and fix it by simply using a PGA list.

Just because someone has started a thread on a similar topic or in the same vein does make the point any less  necessary. This isn't duplicating another thread for the sake of it.

Perhaps it conveys the point more clearly? Perhaps by highlighting the problem again it shows WGT that this still remains an issue for players? Perhaps it gives others a chance to say something who haven't seen other threads?

The point is that it is STILL a problem which could easily be resolved.

The main hurdle (as previously stated) is it's a change that doesn't produce profit for WGT and only affects a relatively small proportion of their customer base.

In essence it would be making a change to satisfy those customers and because it's the right thing to do....neither of which score highly on the WGT list of priorities.

On the other hand if they can introduce something as ineffectual as an applause every time a player scores a birdie, then sorting out the flags should be a minor task.

I think that may have more to do with number of pixels...unless you're conveying your opinion on the actual U.S flag in which case I suggest you take this up with your local congressman.

    Still staring at the flag?
