CerinoDevoti: the guy is a scum-bag and the girl is nearly worse. I'll add in the wife as a POS as well for holding on to her "lifestyle she had come accustomed to" instead of any shred of dignity and self-respect.
I totally agree with you about Donald ... he has paid fines before due to his racist actions. As for V ... she's just as bad, if not worse than Donald. She gives females everywhere a bad name. I hope when Donalds lawyers are finished with her that she's back in the hole she crawled out of.
filmslayer: i might be impressed if all these "upset" players walked away from their million dollar contracts , but they won't . they'll keep taking the mans money ...
IMO, the players are drafted and under contract to play for the Clippers. They cannot decide one day to quit and go elsewhere ... it's either work for the Clippers as basketball players or give up their dream and do something else. Doc Rivers was hired by "The Clippers Organization", and although it is owned by Donald Sterling, it is not managed by him. The minute he signed the contract, Doc made an obligation to the Clippers Organization to coach them to the best of his ability. These men "work" for a living ... they aren't sitting outside Sterling's office with their hands out begging for money. Don't forget, Donald also draws a multi-million dollar contract every year from "The Clippers Organization" ... and what does he do besides flaunt that beer gut of his to the fans. So who's taking whose money here?
In any case, Silver hit Mr. Sterling as hard as he could ... 2.5 million dollar fine (maximum); lifetime ban (maximum) meaning Mr. Sterling cannot attend any NBA game; cannot attend Clippers events; and cannot attend any NBA governed event. Almost enough. It's now up to the governing body to see if they can force Mr. Sterling to sell the team. While this is far from over, I think the initial blow will put a calming effect on this issue.
