x2 ... I thought this guy inherited a lot of money somewhere along the line, quit playing WGT, stopped posting in the forum, et . etc. etc.   What went wrong ???   Although at times  the ridiculous drivel does make me laugh :)

It's an honor to qualify for Wgt's marquee event for the 3rd year running. My aim is to better my T53rd that i had last year. The only way i can do that is by finishing all 4 rounds. So i certainly won't be WD'ing.

I have attempted to hit 52's in the first two round and been terribly disappointed but know that the two 52's I am now going to hit will feel all the better for it.

This is exactly the mindset I thought a 4 round final would foster. Only half way there. Gettem' TAP.  ;-)

This is the attitude I think everyone should have.   For those who have qualified the 2,000 credits is probably not going to matter much, playing in the Virtual US Open and getting your name on the leader board with all 4 rounds played should mean so much more.

That's exactly what I meant Jim. Be positive, if you don't believe you can win you never will.

With opening rounds of 65/64 I have a snowball's chance in hell.  But since hell is mythological and snowballs are real, I'll play it out.

And to all 3 of you aholes a few pages back, do you lot actually think i give a damn about my scores??  LOL, i couldn't really care if i scored 4 rounds of 52 or 4 rounds of 62, i wind all of you up like clockwork and you lot actually think I care about my game/this game/ scores etc etc.

Nah, we all know you don't care about your scores. Those play-by-play last minute qualifiers and a gozzillion RG rounds walkthroughs are the perfect testimonial to that ;-)

As far as your scores go, your theory failed. 62 is still something to be respected, but just think how much better it could've been. I really don't think you should've put additional pressure on yourself, by having to prove your own theory ;-)

Moving on from this, I'd like to congratulate my dear friend Dougie (WoodenHands), with whom I played a couple of matches (after a long while) a few days ago. He asked me if I qualified (never tried, not enough time, skill and will on my part). Then modestly said he got lucky in the 1st round with a 59. Now I see he did the same in the 2nd and I bet he'd still say he got lucky. One of the humblest and nicest people I have ever known and I wish he bangs in the same score in the final 2 rounds. Hopefully he'll then realize what our old group knew from the day we met him. He's not just a great guy, he's also damn good when it comes to playing this great game.

Hmmm.... I thought I had it all figured out. At thirteen shots back, I figured the leaders would all post a pair of 59s, I would post a pair of 52s, and I win this thing by a stroke. You shooting a pair of 52s would really eff up my plan ;)
