Just completed my final round in the VUSO - pliers being applied to nuts would have been less painful.

Constant errors throughout made for a hugely disappointing showing...cheers wgt.

Only crumb of comfort was that at least I completed all 4 rounds; 63-67-68-69.

Is there a prize for finishing in last place of those that stuck it out?

    :)

Just finished my last round too. A 61 that had a couple of bogeys. 58,59,63,61 for 241 in total. Definitely better having 4 rounds for this event and i'd love too see more 4 round single play events in the future.

Good luck to those who are yet to post their final rounds and congratulations to those who get a good wind set.

I sense a double German victory is in the offing....one in Brazil and one on WGT. Congrats Poldi on a great final round.

Not to mention a German won the actual US open, so that would make it a triple wammy german win. Great final round bud, you deserve to win it.

The round from absolute hell.  Everything went wrong... bad wind direction (headwinds on every long hole, and whichever side of the green the hole was on, that's where the wind was coming from).  Funny thing is, I was hitting the ding most of the time.  I've never had so many dinged shots come up 20 feet short or go 20 feet long.  I guess I forgot how to do simple math.  Oh, and 5 lipouts as well.  Glad I finished... I will be giving this course a long rest!

After taking a beating in round 4, I played a couple RG's and actually looked like someone who knew how to play.  Isn't that the paradox with this game?  When things go south, it can look like I've never played before.  Then 10 mins later I play a par 5  RG with med winds and shoot -21, then play the Kiawah RG and shoot a 58 (the greens on this course own me), including a 27 on the back.

I have often wondered when I have an off-the-wall bad round if it is me or the game... the 'VEM' that players talk about.  How do you explain an awful round (I am way past getting anxious in the game... every round is the same for me, I don't 'stress' any of them) followed by two excellent (for me) rounds?  It is curious.  I have always noticed this... when I have a bad round it can often followed by a really good one.  I need someone to explain this to me..lol

Well I finish off with a 63, as I did in the first two rounds.  Fast greens helped hold the green of a few holes where they would normally have rolled off.

My aim was top 100, not sure that'll be enough but it's been fun mixing it in with the big boys anyway.

Well would have loved the chance to play it after my opening 56 but not to be. Congrats to everyone who qualified and completed all 4 rounds. :)

Congratulations to Poldi - great win with some amazing scores.....well done!

Probably the only leaderboard left that Poldi hasn't led at some time.  Probably fitting that there has been a German clean sweep - here, World Cup, real US Open.

Congratulations too to everyone who qualified and finished.

Must say - I much preferred the 4 round Competition over the old 2 round one.
