Complex meter animation? No... The meter animation isn't complex in anyway, it's simply a a vector based animation which runs after you have completed the second 'state', the only thing at that point which is really determining 'how it runs on your computer' is your connection to the server which is is originating from. How it's being fed to you.
This is not to say that the AS which is being used to determine and trigger the variables used in the completion of your shot don't need re-writing. Hell Flash should never have been used in anything other than the prototyping or concept portion of this game. Flash is not capable of handling what it's being task with and that is very evident by what you see going on.
The thing is, anyone who's worked with Flash for any length of time knows all this. They most certainly knew that there would be issues in these areas. There is a program called Scout which will show you exactly what is going on with whatever you are developing, but again, anyone who works with it would know that as you start stressing out the network saturation you're going to start having issues on the server end of things. You combine that with the VEM, CE running and it's a wonder it runs at all really.
You don't not need a 3K+ gaming rig to play this game. Stop blaming it on that, it's an asinine reply for people who know this stuff to read.
I play this game only on an older 2008 MBP, 4GB, 7200RPM drive, that's it. What I most certainly notice is that depending on where I log in whether it's at home or a cafe somewhere, my game is totally different at each place.
