i cant think of any reason to have tiers/levels/selective equipment purchases, WHY?  in life as all of you desire this game to be there are no tiers/levels/or selective equipment purchases other than how much money you have.  why can't a well thought formula of handi-cap be sufficient, WHY?  if this is a for profit business then open up those pro shop doors.  not every person who purchases the best equipment is going to be able to use that equipment as well as others.  this is not pratice dependent as many might think.  i am very likly to not ever be better than a tour master.  this is an acceptable level of performance as far as i'm concerned.  i don't think that wgt should have any thing to do with ranking except a handicap.  sandbaggers exist. cheating goes on all the time, you want real?  thats real.  everything will rise or fall to its own level if there is not any outside influence.  to those who demand more, want more use the country club system to answer those needs as they do in real life also.   sorry i got so verbal but all of this complaining about uneven, unfair, un anything else is just so much drivel.  i understand why wgt does little to satisify all of these complaints from THE ELIT, minority.  fix the mechanical aspects to your best ability let those who truly wish to play and have FUN do so, rather than being in a forever rat race to the top of an artifical environment, which means diddly-squat to any one outside of this venue.  my 2 cents and then some.

That's a whole different topic Mo, restricting people from buying virtual golf clubs is quite simply horrible business. I'm not talking about you guys who got caught up in WGT master plan. Whatever that might be. There is not ONE reason for even trying to become a legend at this point imo. Well, unless you truly want to compete with the very best players on a level playing field. I don't know of any tee box changes for TM Zag, just played a TM all the numbers look the same to me. JB

    stick to original post gentlemen.

3 days later you decide to toss your 2 pineapples in by going after the only post I made in the middle of somebody else's mess? LOL-little late .

As for a 185-195 driver I don't really have an opinion on that.

He attacked me a long time ago, and hasn't stopped since.

File an abuse report like I just did for your attack on Andyson.  Maybe you'll learn about constructive criticism again. Better yet, learn what "attack" means.  Follow Zag's advice.  :-)

Kinda like what you did to me, huh? stick to original post gentlemen.

so, YJ what's your take on a new legeng driver, Personally I think a driver that goes 185 -195 yds would work, it's easy to see that only having long irons into the greens can make it tedious, but giving it up for automatic birdies doesn't make one bit of sense, realism is the key word here and should not be shoved to the way side by people who are angry because they're no longer shooting a 27 for nine holes or a 60 for eighteen. That, to me, is making a travestry of the game of golf, don't care for that crap one bit! And the trash talk in the forums would get most of you kicked out of any club house on any golf course in the world!  Start acting like adults and maybe someone will take what you say seriously for a change.

thank you well said  his 2 cents plus my 2 +4.

I agree, only way to stop the unfair advantages/disadvantages cause by step change tier system is with a continuous handicap system.  There are tried and tested systems in use in the real world. I see no reason why these cannot be transfered to WGT.  Can still have the different tee positions, with only the lower handicaps players being able to access the longer tees.  Could even resolve some of the issues with cherry-picking (although there is no reason for this with new level based pro shop) and sand-bagging.

That really in the subject for a whole new post though.

    So here's my suggestions.

    1. A new ball that actually gives some distance benefit coupled with MORE SPIN.  If we could actually keep a 3 iron from rolling out 25 yards on tourney greens WGT would hear a lot less complaining.  I know I can do it in real life and I'm only a 9 handicap so why can't I stop a 3 iron in WGT land where I'm supposed to be one of the best.  Case in point, played a tourney last week in real life with greens rolling around 13 the pro said.  I hit a 3 iron from 235 with a 20 mph tail (est.) and it checked up 12 feet from pitch mark.  Green was slightly uphill from fairway and level.  Also made the eagle, YIPPEE
    2. Give Legends the ability to hit driver off the deck so we can reach holes in regulation, like carrying the fescue on STA 15, or reaching the greens on STA 17, BPB 7, or BPB 12 with a headwind.  Again as a 9 hdcp IRL I can hit driver from fairway quite proficiently so why not here.  The capabilities are there like in Bali Hai CTTH but I also found a spot on STA the other day where you can hit driver off the deck and it flies like it is supposed to.  After a meter freeze on STA #10 my ball flew 93 on left side of the fairway.  I decided what the heck gonna give it a try because there was no way to reach with 3wood.  The ball took and flew 260 yards in the air.  Come on WGT, flip the switch!
    3. Ability to drop an iron from the currently required set.  Dropping 3iron for hybrid would be very beneficial.  Legends have to carry a 3wood on most courses like reaching BPB#2 or STA #15 but would have to drop a crucial wedge in order to carry a hybrid.  I know this has been addressed repeatedly and I don't mind if it was available for all tiers but this needs to move up the priority list.
    4. Ability to hit a 3wood from 20-25% rough without having to punch it.  Again this is a simple shot IRL so why can't Legends of the virtual golf world do it?  Many times the ball will actually fly farther from a fluffy lie in light rough than it does from the fairway.

    *bump* This is the topic.

    So why are you talking??

    iukine:
OK YJ, let's see now, you like to shoot your mouth off so much

Wrong again…YJ is one of the few who think prior to speaking…you should try it some time.

    iukine:
why not meet me on the course chump, put your money where your mouth is, so to speak!

Why not meet him in the parking lot?  Isn’t that a much better place to settle this?

    iukine:
Just send me a message when you are ready, name the time and place and we'll have us a little shoot out. And if you can be a gentleman and play nice I won't say anything nasty about you, and if I beat you, you apoligize to all who you have insulted with your clever mouthy words

Yeah…anytime any place…rain or shine…we’ll shoot it out…in imaginary golf land…and the winner….well the winner….well….oh man why is it so hard to sound like a tough guy in these things…ARRGG…Oh I'm so ANGRY…ARRGRGRR….ANGER ANGER.

    iukine:
    you jerk

    No name calling please.

    iukine:
Think I'm affraid of you or something like that, well you're way wrong. It's time to put up or shut up.

It’s quite obvious you’re not afraid of Jim, or anything for that matter.  You’re especially not afraid of sounding like a hot headed moron who can’t seem to get his foot out of his mouth long enough to type something thought out and intelligent.

    …On Topic…Give Legends a Driver…My original post in on a previous page, #4 I think.
