Rollone -- that's 3 -- you, me and Ronny... they won't do anything man! I want my dough back too --- but that still doesn't make up for the lost time spent on this thing --- while someone else putted.

I'm interested to hear how it putts.  Can somebody who has it give us all some feedback pls.

Looking at the specs, I get the thinking you just have to hit a putt and it will go in all the time.

    Just curious

It's nothing special and I couldn't wait to change back to my Versa. I tried putting to just miss to see if it would snatch my ball into the hole but it didn't. Just seemed like a Ghost Spider with a lick of paint. The increments could be better thought out too.

World Golf Tour Administrators have often stated that they are trying to make this game as close to real life as possible. Those of us who play golf both in the real world and in this "cyber wonderland" must follow the "Rules of Golf". We hit the ball OB or in the water we are charged strokes. We fail to follow the rules of golf, knowingly or unknowingly we are subject to suffer the penalty  from strokes added to our score cards or disqualification.

Golf is considered a "Gentleman's Game" where the individual is responsible for his own score and deductions according to the rules of the game. This should be no different. If the individual or individuals are guilty of manipulating the score. Their cards should be thrown out of the total scoring or the offending club disqualified. The Rules of Golf are clear as to how this should be handled....... for the love of the game follow them!!

    rollone:

Please refund my credits and balls please. all those rounds at St Andys while this guy was finishing rounds in 6 minutes with best of putting. its the right thing to do, REFUND.

I agree. However, I must add that everyone who fell for the "buy a pass" should have seen the scam from the get-go. I really enjoy this game, and site, but the way this was handled "after" the bugs/glitches/cheats were exposed, really is disheartening.

The right thing to do would be to issue refunds, or at least replace the passes purchased. I'm glad I saw what was going on after the 1st round I played, and didn't fall for it. Since it was said that this would be a test, it should not have included that putter as a prize, and the cost should have been free, just to work out the kinks, and generate some interest.

I've only been here 17 months, and this is the worst thing I have witnessed. From the glitches to the players getting royally screwed. One can only hope WGT shows some integrity on this one. It's bad enough the way the putter was won (even worse that it was actually awarded), so at least try to save a little face by refunding/replacing passes.

    Thanks for that feedback C.

I think with a putter like that then you should be allowed to pick the Increments. As some of us are use to the Increments on Putters that we have been using for years.

Wgt should have given the Putter as a gift for a few days to all the long time Club Owners just to test out in the real World before it came out, as we all have different putting styles. Maybe a good idea for future Gold equipment.

You all have to hear this.....

The third place finisher was just asked what 5 members should receive 5 CC Passes.

117 members played - the Rules state 5 passes to each of those members that played get them (585 passes) and the speed boosts BUT nope 25 passes to be distributed among just 5 of the members.

Guess WGT forgot that they posted this:

And to those who played putt putt while everyone else clashed on the actual clash courses. ;)

    117 members played -

    Congrats to Augusta National CC.

Wgt asked for feedback, looks like they are getting some very good feedback.  Bad or good feedback is always good to work on in these early stages.

One thing that worries me is the 117 members played (no offence to that club). A Small club like mine (35 regulars) who most of em are not finacial, we cannot compete with big clubs like this who can afford to buy the passes.

The concept is very good, maybe take the Passes out of the mix and have free comps, or Just one Pass for the whole comp...  it might be better for all.

Like I said, my CC has no chance against the bigger or more finacial clubs
