DID I GET THAT BOUT RIGHT KASLO?.

You got it perfect . Except maybe you didn't notice. He's the better player. He's posting scores better than 90% of the legends. That seem fair? Yes if he was forced legend the I am willing to bet he'd still win as many games as I do.

okay, i'll take 1 more stab at this from a different angle. I, AM A LESSER BEING!!!!  shooting from the same tee's and using the exact same equipment, i would lose 5 and 4 to the best of the best every time in an MPC.(costly for me, boring for them) SOLUTION???1. never play the best of the best (bummer for me) 2.handicap the best of the best by moving him back some to give me a chance to lose 3 and 2 or heaven forbide, 2 and 1. this KINDA seems fair to me,but then. please mr kaslo ur opinion on this scenario

You nailed it right on the head! Woot!!!!!

See, me also being the lessor player now has the pleasure of losing 4 out of 5 games to the best of the legend tier. And your solution is now I get to lose 4 out of 5 to the best of the TM tier?

To your other point that's exactly what I am saying. I can't find anyone to play MPC anymore, the legends are scarce and most the TM's who do play are just as good as me and really don't need the advantage so as you said it would be costly to play. Once again if you had read my post you would see my issue is with the way the tiers are being calculated.

Now I'm not bashing TM for how the game is now, but spare me any point of view you have on this subject because you have not a clue.

Not trying to go off-topic, but if this is directed towards me, you need to explain to us what we don't have a clue about JB. Read my post again. I can't help the fact WGT has allowed all tiers full run of the pro shop, and you were advanced to a tier (by WGT) that you feel was done prematurely. If this is your clue we don't get, we do. You make everyone think the Legend tier is some kind of punishment or something.

As a Tour Master, I'm unable to play multi-player challenges and I wouldn't participate even if I could, so there's no reason whatsoever for me to sandbag, or pad my meaningless average. I'm just playing the game, and relaxing on famous courses.

I'm also still trying to understand what all the fuss is about winning meaningless credits, and all the talk about people sandbagging to get them. Who cares? The playability of the game is more important to see solved, IMO.

If members are putting good money up to win credits in a MPC, and are losing their good money to a sandbagger, then I say they should think about what their doing.

    Kaslo:
    This causes hard feelings.

You can say that again. I've said to, and agree with you Kaslo, the system is definitely broken.

    Kaslo:
I seen a game where  a lesser tier can use equipment that a greater tier can't.

This isn't completely true IMO. The pro shop currently has golf balls that are only reserved for Legend tier players. Legend players will see those longer drivers before any new member, or a player in a lesser tier will.

    Kaslo:
Once again it's very refreshing to see all those who have benifeted from the system defend it

Again, I'm defending nothing, I'm in agreement with you when you say this game is unfair in several ways. All we can do is go with the flow until all this riff-raff is sorted out by WGT. WGTicon (who ever that is) has said WGT is still looking for everyone's feed-back on all the new things happening with the game, then I say, let's all give WGT the constructive feed-back their looking for and hopefully this get's sorted-out sooner, rather then later.

I've just looked at the Closed Ready Go's and the first 6 are all being led by Legends. I'm not quite seeing where Legends are so disadvantaged in Ready Go's!!

(insert sarcasm). You're right on the money.  Why be rewarded for being the best?  Give everybody a chance to win.  Hopefully the PGA will adopt the same format next year so that Paul Stankowski tees off with a 3 stroke advantage per 18 holes against Tiger, Ernie, Phil, Stricker, Casey and the rest of the best.

Come on man!  This logic reflects the sad state of affairs that modern culture is migrating to.  9th place ribbons for everybody.  Heaven forbid that anyone have to accept that they just aren't as proficient as others on a level playing field.

Handicap "friendlies" at your local Muni or CC, all for it.  That said this site is the PGA of the virtual world and rewarding those who don't possess the same experience or expertise seems contradictory to realism on the Pro Circuit.

Legends can compete close to equally on some courses now, i.e. STA front and back, or BPB front.  BPB back, Oakmont and Kiawah courses are a bad joke.  As stated earlier, played recently on Kia back against a TM and average disparity per approach shot was 37+ yards per hole.  If difference meant him hitting a PW and my 7 iron it would be no problem but that's not the case.  Try stopping a 3 or 4 iron on these tourney greens...not going to happen even though as a 10 hdcp I can do it quite easily in real life.  Stopping a 6 or 7 iron quickly enough to have a decent putt isn't a problem for a good TM.

I do think WGT likes the current system from a revenue perspective though.  Reward the middle class, where the vast majority lie, to induce them to spend more money.  Yes it does alienate us Legends but we're probably not where WGT gets the most money.  So we're left with a few pointless options, complain to deaf ears, march on and suck it up, or leave.

jake, got no prob with the best winning but heres the rub. they ain't gonna get MY money unless i at least stand a chance of winning in the RGs or MPCs. so the way i see it, the only way to make all happy is to seperate the RGs by tier and i'll edit my own MPC donations.

Jake check the b9 kia rg and see who is top in about 80% of them a legend CMRH so it cant be all that bad.

We as TM's never got asked to be put where we are thats down to WGT not us.

    Andy,

Couldn't agree with you more.  I'm not sore at you guys one iota.  As I said, I believe the system was implemented to generate revenue.  Since the Sept update I have noticed way more names I don't recognize playing Ready Gos and doing quite well which can only be good for WGT in the long run.  Yes it does get in my craw that you guys get access to the same equipment as I do, but that is no fault of your own.

If I had a decent meter I still wouldn't worry about it a bit, but a freeze of spike with 4 iron in hand, which occurs about every 4th or 5th shot for me (only since Sept update) puts me in a spot of bother.

So here's a question for you TMs, would you have problem if Pros and Ams had access to the same equipment as you do?  The yardage disparity isn't quite as substantial as TM to Legend but still would be a large advantage.  That said a good TM has way more skill than a Pro under current tier system so it probably wouldn't be a big deal other than principle.

They got semi close to making things right for all with the Sept update but didn't quite hit the nail on the head.  Personally I think WGT should lock the old master equipment for Legends only, GIVE you guys free equipment that doesn't perform to the same specs, then unlock the top of the line equipment when you join the ranks of Legend.  I also think that the GI SD balls and Tour SD balls be relegated for Legend only.  That would level the playing field but limit revenue for WGT so I'm sure that will never happen.

And is case you want to argue that we already have a Legend only ball, that thing is a total FARCE!  I frequently got outdriven using the Legend ball and SuperTri (278) against a normal GISD and TM Master Driver (275) when we both dinged the shots and used same spin.

Again, nobody is blaming TMs for the current state of affairs so please understand that.  Just something wrong playing a guy with close to identical average using same equipment that gets to hit 2.5 less clubs on every hole.

All the LEGENDS may worry about TMs for now because of Tees advantage BUT ........wait for a few more weeks when the Pros , Masters and Amateur level up to get to better Clubs , then you gents will have bigger problem than now . The way " new average score " work , you will see Amateurs and Hackers with level 73+ Clubs set in the next few weeks .

PS: I see some amateurs with 66 average { check it out } .
