New Tier? Make some changes first....

  No one knows these players with the silly stats.. But everyone knows Fmags and Dansamcam.. That's all I'm saying.

  I doubt those guys are worried about another tier.

  you know what you are probably right but if WGT can put the spotlight on obvious frauds why can't they promote the best players with a title ??

  That's all I'm saying !!

  Once again that's away from the point of anything I see it as for, and would not be to show who is best in that elite group.  I think that it is important to say as people jump on it must being about something pseudo elite, when that's not the case.  

  I will leave the top players and anyone else to comment on what titles they or may not want as that way as that would not effect me anyway, and so I will just stick to asking for a way of getting proper stats.

  I just wanted to bring out that one point about it not being anything elite in my book that's all as people jump on it like it must be.

  Can be tricky doing it in forums, and accept you had more;)

  I don't bring this up for my own gratification because I am a long way from being at that level , but I do know players that are far beyond me in their skills and feel that they should be recognized !! Thats it -they should be recognized !!

  Egotistical rhetoric? Come on.. I used the term "Super" simply as an example of what WGT may call a new tier. You could substitute "Hack" if you like. The point of my post was not calling for a new tier. I am just saying that if WGT does create a new tier, they should change the way they compute averages first. Get rid of the "Best Games" formula that they use now and go to a rolling average that can go up or down based on your last 50 or 100 games. As far as I'm concerned, you could get rid of tiers altogether and just use levels along with your "true" average... And stop allowing "close tee" tourneys to affect your average...

  this is the best post so far !! I definitely am not the best in the tier of legend. I think I have hit the so called saturation point when my average starts to lower. The rolling average seems so logical. I would probably still be a Tour Master at this time and enjoy the game more. I still think the elite players should be rewarded for their skill. What's wrong with thinking that there should be more tiers. Let the top players figure it out.

  If you read it carefully there is no way you can say that.  It's only about proper stats, and doing away with the silly stuff corrupting them.  

  Read v carefully and it's also a way for enthusiastic players to get the pro shop open a bit early, and a real nice to have for those players.  They could do it with TL but that would upset the now many paper TLs who would be lost away from Beth F9 low wind.

  Anyway speaking of silly stuff it's all back burner anyway at the very least.  The company seems more interested in gnomes and zero skill CC Events.

  Jimbog seems to be one of the few posting here that understands what this post is about. It has nothing to do with "egos". In fact, I don't see at all how you could come to that conclusion if you actually read what is being said here. How is asking WGT to come up with an accurate "Tier - Level - Averaging" system being an elitist? Just saying....

  It's not.. if that's all you were doing.. but it wasn't.

  You were mainly bashing players with "silly stats" for playing a different game than you.

  Take the young lady with the 48 avg, for instance.. She's playing front 9 BPB and that's ALL.. Yes, her avg is bogus in your normal gameplay.. But you'd be hard pressed to find anyone that could beat her at what she does. 

  And what she's doing isn't hurting anyone. 

  You can advocate for the things you want without bashing others who play the game differently than you do..

  Just sayin'..

  OK.. Show me one post that I made bashing anyone. The only thing I'm "Bashing" here is WGT's averaging system.  I agree that the Lady with the 48 avg is a great player. I could care less about where she plays or what tee's she is playing from. I think it's a lot of fun playing from the close tee's. I enjoy the new look from my usual parking lot tee's. My point here though is that it should not impact my average if I play from a tee closer than my tier tee. So please, show me one post I made blasting anyone. If asking WGT to come up with a better way to determine your true average is "Bashing", then I guess I am guilty....

  There are many ways to find enjoyment here in WGTland...as players, we have no control over the way the many 'functions' are, or the way they are calculated. We can only react to them, as we, as individuals, indentify them as fun, or goals, or whatever else it is we seek here.

  I have not ever paid much of anything in income taxes. Am I a tax cheat? Not hardly. I manuver within the tax laws as they are written. Do I care if someone else thinks I'm not paying my fair share? No. Nor do I care if they are paying a bunch. It is not my business. I don't write the laws.
