Nothing in the pipeline that I have heard about a new tier coming anytime soon.  Really spending time dialing in CC Event and getting the new courses out.  If, and that is a big if, a new tier comes it won't be until Feb or March at the earliest.

Thanks for the input Shoe...  Any chance WGT will look at a new average formula? Make it a bit more realistic....

Maybe, right now it is really geared towards keeping players from sandbagging.  I know some scores seem crazy but that's a byproduct of it being a video game.

Hey Shoe...  The crazy scores (averages) is not simply a byproduct of this being a video game. I think it is much more a result of the averaging system WGT uses.

Remove the meter timing system currently used to fluctuate and create random shot deviation and misses in place to thwart auto-dinging systems. It is effective and does work

    How do you know this?

Just saying ...... if a TL reaches an average of 59 should they not be promoted to a higher tier ? It's the same system for every other tier. And then if the same player reaches an average of 58 should they not be promoted again ? I've seen hacks with better averages hi-lighted on the community spotlight along with the greatest players !! To me that is more shameful than no new tiers.

Each tier movement at present either has longer holes or faster greens. There are no tees further back and if the green speeds are increased much more some downhill putts will be impossible.

As I see it the only need for the new tier is one away from anything elite.  I realise their is an argument for that elite stuff, but I am happy to leave that one to those elite players to argue that case.

There is a real need for a grown up tier though where the short tee low wind / short tee CC stuff etc does not count at all - only proper single play rounds count, and any average is rolling from at least several courses.  Stats that track all that properly would also be a must.  All said more fully elsewhere, but no point even looking if based on the current system.

Not on the cards for a good while though, although if competition ever did happen I suspect a few things might miraculously get done more sensible.

All this sounds like is someone's big ego wanting stroked.. If you want recognition, go win some tournaments and put your name on the top of the earnings list.

If you truly are an elite player, that's where your name will be.. and everyone will recognize it.

No need for more tiers..  Fix the F'n game.

If you read it carefully there is no way you can say that.  It's only about proper stats, and doing away with the silly stuff corrupting them.

Read v carefully and it's also a way for enthusiastic players to get the pro shop open a bit early, and a real nice to have for those players.  They could do it with TL but that would upset the now many paper TLs who would be lost away from Beth F9 low wind.

Anyway speaking of silly stuff it's all back burner anyway at the very least.  The company seems more interested in gnomes and zero skill CC Events.

No one knows these players with the silly stats.. But everyone knows Fmags and Dansamcam.. That's all I'm saying.

I doubt those guys are worried about another tier.

Hmm if you read some threads I think mags has commented. Ho wmuch he cared well not going to comment as that's for him.

Whether they do or they do not I would like stats shown properly, and see how well I am doing easily.  If we do that by another tier there are plenty that would be happy with that, and would not affect any one else.  Back burner anyway.

The players with the silly stats can't be ignored though, and that's why i say do it with another tier.  If some one wants a 53 average and 74% one putt from the tips playing the easier stuff let em have it, but several would like different.  Room for all, and simply should not bother anyone IMO apart from WGTs time, and well what they do with that for them to manage.  They also started this whole thing ideas wise.

To say it's anything to do with ego though is utterly wrong if any one reads any reasons I have - all about sensible calculated anything only.

Getting wrapped in "tier" is missing the reason entirely (for any reason I particularly care for anyway).

Like I say for all I care they could do it all with T Legend Tier, but unless they run separate stats in parallel that would upset several, and I doubt that's the way WGT choose to go.  Having sensible stats I do not think is too much too suggest as a product improvement.
