The reason for the cynicism is that this has been discussed to death.

If I thought I had an idea of merit for a game thats been going 5+ years I would look to see if it had been discussed before.

This simple step showed 94 threads covering the subject and there are probably more that don't have that exact title.

    Here to help.

Actually I believe they have gotten a life:

Sure do,  thanks for pointing it out fella.  ;-)

Point of my reply was that if you want to have to pick your club, what's stopping you from doing that as the game is set up now?

Other thing is, this has been brought up numerous times in the past and has finally made it to the "upcoming product releases".

High post count only means that someone enjoys the forums, not lack of a life.  deltabravo.

    ***edit,   Plus what Paul said!

It's always nice to hear the "perfect" players pontificate. Nobody is asking to take anything away from you but you just have to jump in and criticize something that somebody else might prefer.

It's not against you certainly, and instead of critique I read mild mockery and differing opinions, partly mantled in sarcasm.

Many of us share the knowledge of multiple enquiries like your's with a mod's answer - if any - like "interesting thought" or "we'll put it on the list", making clear that the company has no urgent intention to change anything.

And in only one week we'll commemorate the anniversary of an official WGT thread about "Caddie woes", asking for our feedback, thoughts and wishes on this subject. Good read, but the company never came back to this thread of 79 replies, not even with a Thank You, thus devaluating our efforts and giving any idea of a change the final blow.

Thus, me (and maybe some more ppl) cannot treat this subject as objective as you might like it. No offence intended.

Edit: I don't believe in the product announcements - just hollow phrases.

They are WGT - hope is futile!

Most of the time you have to do it anyway caddy or not and to say "Yes, I know we should always be looking  " means he knows to check the shots

All ya gotta do is use the search feature plenty of tips and even videos on what you might need help with .

Then take it to the course and see what works for you or not and mapping your club and ball combo helps out the most though

It's right to say that if I use the wrong club or the wrong distance it's my fault that I didn't checked 'em, but what abt that mysterious happening  when u set a club and the game change it? Sometimes I see it and I save myself, very often I don't. Since I've dedicated seconds for the choice of the right club, why, for unknow reasons (to me?!) the club choosen is right and the distance shown it's another one?! The highlighted club is the 195y iron and the distance shown is 150y (this is the last happened). Bye

(Sh)it happens, and one possible reason has been described here: When changing the clubs by mouseclick, hovering over another button may cause the program to change.

Top concentration is necessary to avoid this to happen.

Thanks spdemon, appreciate advice, will certainly go forward.  A friend once said: "Onward Thru the Fog".  just be careful of the really thick fog.
