Maybe WGT should consider a driving range and putting green for when you've only got ten minutes or want to practice before a big game?

Many of our players have submitted these requests and we are still investigating the possibility of adding a driving range and/or putting green.

In the mean time you can play a couple of Practice mode holes to warm up.

This has been a much requested feature in the past and a long overdue, and at least to me an option that should have been added years ago!  The driving range should have a player selectable wind speed for trying out various clubs and shots shots (Full swing/punch flop ect!).  The putting green should be an accurate representation of a wide cross-selection of those we play on in the WGT World and should also have a player selectable speed setting!  Lastly, this should be a completely free feature and hits on the ball should not be charged.

Is this a change of direction, a total lack of communication or just trying to appease some players by a maybe?

Icon has said in the past it is a no goer.

And personally I agree - no need with mulligans (but would be nice for a no wind option in practice mode).

Driving ranges are great in real life to tinker with the stance and grip and to perfect the swing. All of those are automated in this game.

There is nothing like practicing on a course - that we can do and learn the holes, where to drive to, how to play the approach, where to approach to and learning the putts on the green - shots you can replicate in a game.

Would that be with a huge lake covering 50yds to 300yds and giant gnome markers bobbing up and down ! ?

    This!

He also said, the game would become too easy by systematic practice.

We are always investigating new features. Icon may have said it was likely a no go but that doesn't mean we drop the ideas entirely forever. We have added many new features within the past year and are ramping up the mobile app. Most everything is on the table for consideration.

If I read between the lines:

We are always investigating new features provided they make us money. Icon may have said it was likely a no go but that doesn't mean we drop the ideas entirely forever it just means we do not think it would financially be beneficial. We have added many new features within the past year despite the most of the forum users detesting these features and are ramping up the mobile app (SSS) . Most everything is on the table for consideration if it will make money..

Perhaps a little cynical but seems to be the common denominator these days.
