Hi Big Dog, I know well how you feel, I often wonder where the fun is here trying to play this game. Usually when I am playing badly !! Nothing seems to go right, you know wind is all wrong, putting is terrible. All that stuff.

Well I just step back a little, as I am at the moment. Just come in and play a couple of games and walk away till tomorrow or maybe try again later. I too would like to reach TL, but I suspect I may have hit my "talent barrier", maybe I shall have to just accept that I may be a reasonable legend, thats no mean acheivment in my book. I haven't protected my average or any of that stuff, just plodded on and reached the magical 500 rounds last summer, so all is good there.

Courtney's advice is good, all that Blitz and CTTH stuff is not the way to go. Play with some friends and have some fun, chill out.

It's refreshing to see people trying to be helpful instead of the see ya later remarks. I am in a real slump at the moment due to my terrible skills, or loss of memory on some holes. The fun AS games at night with friends,  far out weigh the misery I suffer playing stroke and trying to lower my average. Patience is a virtue, one that I try to maintain.

    BigDogRuns:

This was a fun site for me, for over a year. But now, not so much. It was fun to work my way up to Legend, it was fun to try out the new equipment, and it was great to combine the two. But now, the distance to Tour Legend is just too far at the little increments I'm given. And more importantly, the distance between levels, and the lack of new equipment to try out and purchase is just, well, for me, boring. I log on daily still, get my 938 points or whatever for me and my country club, but, who cares. This site doesn't really seem to care, every 'exciting' new change is just an overly apparent attempt to increase revenue. Hey, spend wads of money and help win a country club tournament and you may get a ridiculously expensive putter (yeah, right) or. how about your cc getting gnome tees!!! It's just becoming a sucky site with nothing to do to keep interest, nothing really to play for, and I don't think I am alone in these thoughts. Try joining your favorite game when it's not Friday or Saturday night. See you all around, but probably not for much longer.

Life is about the journey, not just the destination!

Wow, what a nice little chance for me as an east frisian Hillbilly without hills, or lets say a Redneck stoned-by-nature to become a little poetic. Or philosophic. Or whatever.

Well, after I became a TL I decided to be less a player but more a coach. Since I created my own CC it is a positive thrill (and a real pleasure) for me to see new players walk their way through the tiers, some of them from hack to legend in only a few month´.

So for every thrill that goes a new thrill comes along. What a thriller. I shouldnt have whisky in the afternoon anymore. But thats another story. Cheers.

    @ mnshiner

When you go to paste the link, it shows https/

Remove the 's' from the end of that.. and make it just http/ then it should work.

    * (edit.. this is the code I used)
