I am a member of Senior Citizens Country Club, which until recently was one of the happiest and most active clubs on WGT.  Our owner has had a medical emergency and has not been on the site for quite some time, in spite of messages that he would be coming back soon.  The membership is dropping every day, and there are things like accepting new members that can only be done by the owner.  Other members have reached out to WGT for help and been told there is nothing they can do.  Their suggestion has been to start a new club and give up all that we have built so far.  There must be some way they can affect a change of ownership.  Please make it happen before the club is gone!

A former member, oldones29, has started his own club (Senior Moments).  He has stated that he would gladly drop the new club and take ownership of Senior Citizens if that were a possibility.  This would be an easy solution that would return our club to where we should be.  I implore you to find a way to do this.

A note of warning to other Country Clubs.  If your owner gets sick or incapacitated this can happen to you as well.  Help us petition WGT to find a solution to this situation before it affects you!

    Hi,

This has happened before and it's about time WGT did something about it.

A sad situation indeed !  Check out player profile Hochh.  He's a missing owner of Hooch Hollow Country Club. His club was at one time very active. Now its almost dead !

    Frank.

Yes I tried contacting Jason several times to see if his health would prevent him from going on as owner of Senior Citizens. I would have been very happy to take over that club. It is a great club with lots of friendly people. Unfortunately, even his closest of friends have not heard from him, and they too have left and started their own club. Seems we are getting past the point of no return now. Having met you in real life, I know what a great guy you are, and your loyalty to Senior Citizens shows. It is a sad situation, that WGT needs to take a look at, and stop it from happening to other clubs, but I wouldn't hold my breathe on that. I hope it all works out in the end.

It is absolutely the case that WGT should NOT be shrugging its shoulders at this problem. They have the ability to remove players from the game completely, so it is only a further small step for them to be able to delete an owner from a club and designate a club member to take it forward until the club decides who it wants for a new owner.

They should also take immediate steps to allow at least one of the designated officers to hold ownership privileges (although that wouldn't help in our case as we have none).

I think we would all be perfectly happy to form a new club if we were able to take all our extremely hard earned (not to mention expensive) cc points with us.

Pull your finger out WGT and get this issue resolved as soon as possible. I'm sure we are not the first country club to have this problem and nor will we be the last.

Since I do not believe that WGT will take the club from its present owner and give ownership to someone else. The solution seems to be to move the present members to my club, and award us Senior Citizens club level and XP's. after all myself and my members were also a part of Senior Citizens for quite some time, and we helped get them to the level they are at. In that scenario, Senior Citizens would live on, but with a name change, and the membership would remain intact.

From my experience with the game, this looks much less likely than the improbable forced owner change. Technical and organisatory reasons, I suppose.
