First of all my best wishes for any medical issue - most important of course.

    Second @ EasyEd

    Very good post IMO.

Each case on it's merits, but surely 5 minutes discussing such cases, say in a meeting once a month, might lead to some common sense in lieu of officer powers.

Come on Eddie, I wasn't asleep when the changes were made.  We were a 10 week old club with a limit of 75 members.  So, I know exactly how hard it was at the start.  We had to earn lots of club xps, in order to up our limit.

I was telling them that a club change is possible.  I did it, so it works!  I wasn't saying that they'd have their 22,000,000 xps back in a year.  But if they are determined to stay together as a group, they could make it work.  Not quite the same club, but as near as they could hope for.

I for one, am not shooting down their hopes of rescuing something!

    PT.

    Paul:

Not sure I said that - certainly did not mean it if it came across that way.

I am pretty darn sure that akone12 would tell you that even though I am an outsider looking in at the rescued The Yorkshire County GC - that I have been helpful even though not a member.

My point was not that some semblance of Senior Citizens could not be resurrected - rather that WGT could have 1) prevented the problem long ago or 2) helped in correcting the result that they have not yet remedied by correcting what they said they would.

    Ed

PS - I know I part my hair just right so many find my point is obscured. :-s

    and

PPS - Sorry, had to laugh a tad. You see, when I was young my Mom would make me stop playing with others that called me "Eddie." So I guess I best let her rest in peace and not friend you - just kidding - well about the friending part anyway - but Mom would never have allowed me to finish a game of street ball with my friends if she heard "Eddie" so I doubt she would rest comfortably if I tried a round of golf with you.

oh finally (get the feeling I was an attorney when I worked?)

PPPS - 6.7 million CC XPs is quite good! Congrats to you and your CC and the rebuilding of it. TRM&D on the top 50 leader board for the last number of weeks - not quite top 50 overall (I track them) but you all will be there soon if you keep it up. Well done. Heck there are after all over 44,000 CCs on WGT that accomplishment is something special.

If 'god forbid' something were to happen to me then there is 1 other member in my club that i know personally in real life that has my password and he would then pass the club over to whoever our members would see fit.

I think this is something that every club should have in place if the unthinkable were ever to happen.

    +1

Our CC consists of older players so we have taken the time to have the answer should something happen to me. Maybe all CC's should consider.

agreed  ... if WGT`s only remedy is to say "there is nothing we can do" then i guess the only thing owners can do is share their password if they care enough for their members to not have the same issue

that of course could create other issues, but it looks like the only fix for now other than breaking the club up into groups of 15

I started Senior Moments Country Club when I realized that Senior Citizens was falling apart. Having been a previous owner there, and club member, most know me.  As of now I have 27 members, all from Senior Citizens, and there are about 15 or so more, that are very loyal, and hoping things turn around. They know they are welcome in my club. That is about 50 of the 200+ members that were there when this whole thing started. Some have gone to other clubs. The others, and you know who they are, are the ones that do not read the club forum, or interact with any other members. They have no idea what is going on, and as long as someone is there to create club tournaments, they will never know what happened. It is a sad situation, but Senior Citizens lives on, smaller, and with a name change, and at level 3 rather than the level 13 they were at.

After WGT fixes all the glitches that we are experiencing... to many to mention here, lets hope they address some country club issues, what Senior Citizens is experiencing is one of them.

    Thanks to everyone

    Frank

Agreed. Like kicking someone when they are down.....does not say a lot about the ethics of your CC.
