T+20 minutes now and we're about to try for the fourth time.

FYI: after 20+ frustrating minutes of inviting, getting through the lobby and then finding we'd lost someone en route to the 1st tee, we finally arranged to switch who did the invites.

For some reason, WGT didn't like the fact that I was inviting... and as soon as we changed that, we got into the game smoothly.

So, the lesson learned is that if you do encounter technical problems getting a match under way, first thing to do is try someone else doing the game setup and invite.

It's not so crucial to have a particular team start with the honor. Perhaps a good plan is to have #2 person be the inviter if you get a disco on the first try.

Oh rats!

Nonetheless, 2hrs should be more than enough time, provided you're able to get off promptly.

Looking back at Lou and my game vs Dave and Ab, there's a 2-hr gap between my "teeing off now" post and the publishing of a long wrap-up post, which must have taken me some time. And that game went all the way to #18.

I think you should be OK (remember to switch around the game initiators if you get disco's out of the lobby).

Glad you're under way. Good luck for fitting it in... !

IIRC, sometimes WGT does delay 5-10 minutes after the stated 10pm WGT time before pulling the plug.

Currently hitting approaches to the 13th at all square. We definitely won't finish tonight.

Edit: ROW wins 14 because they reached the fairway and I didn't.

Oh, what a pity...

Hoping you can use some of the remaining 9 minutes (!) to make a plan to get together again.

... or if that's not possible given scheduling, and if you're all agreed, you could call the match based on the number of holes you did manage to finish.

WGT might hold off 5-10 mins as they've done in the past. One never knows...

We have scheduled the last 4 holes at 8 PM Sat WGT time. ROW 1 UP through 14.
