    alosso:
it would take me forever to become a TL.

Note the subjunctive - it's no problem for me, as I have accepted my status as a given fact. I had a blog post until recently accepting "to stay a mediocre Legend forever".

I have no ambition at all to tier up. I'd have to spend money in the top equipment, time in mapping clubs and making notes about the tracks, more time learning to safely hole the ball outside 6 feet, time and money (balls!) to become better. I rather am on the real track and enjoy (rare) birdies with the whole body instead of forefinger limitation ;)

IMHO, the concept is o.k. from a business POV. How many balls and credits are burnt to reach the level for coveted equipment, how many more to get the average down (you named it!) for the next tier? How many players really know why, and what to do then?

    To your health, Sweets!

    Paul,

I understand your point completely.  I'll probably be in a walker by the time I reach Legend, much less TL.  Of course, it might be a plus, if I can time the normal shaking of my hands by then to the jerky meter.  Have to think about that one some more.  Maybe another pro shop item, "ETNM Boost" (Essential Tremor Neurological Movement)  LOL

So I won't be able to turn TL until I have 500 ranked Legend rounds, period?  Not like that's a bad thing.  It was very easy to win or place highly in Tournaments within the Hack - TM tier.  The Legend and TL scores seem to be quite competitive (putting it mildly), especially since I refuse to pay $$$ for better balls lol.

And good info on the Par 3 and Par 5 courses.  I had no idea they didn't count towards your averages.  I suppose the only flaw with that is players could choose to play nothing but Par 3 and Par 5 Tournaments and or Read-Go's and really rack up the $$$$.  But I don't see many people doing that.  Besides,  I don't see the fun in being a Tier Camper (assuming you have the necessary skill to move forward).

That would be 500 rounds that averaged 30, not just the number 500.  :-)

Yikes, lol.  Forgot about that.  Well, I'll be getting those new Taylor Made RSi's in a few more days so that should help!! ;)  But even then, I've been looking at the scored needed to consistently place in the top 5 of Tourneys and it seems rather challenging o_^.
