Yes it is 3rd party software and you can't monitor and load balance processes manually in 3 clicks let alone as efficiently and effectively as a program.

To come close to an equivalent, you'd have constantly look at the task manager to see which processes are requesting allocations. Anyway, I don't think you understand load balancing. Read the subject.

Yes you "can" change priority in task manager which gives you a warning that doing so could cause system instability, but this program will not only manage it safely, it will give you better results.

oh and self-proclaimed PC experts can...(insert action of choice here)

Why don't you bless us with your vast knowledge of how a balancing program for networks helps the meter? I'm ready to learn. Yes, I could go research it but I think you are probably able to put it in simpleton terms for us simpletons. :-)

Task manager doesn't do load balancing.

    You sure about that?

Thankyou very much, sorted my meter right out!

    First,

You want to set the priority of the plugin-container which is the Flash component for WGT not firefox.

    Second,

YankeeJim...the program has nothing to do with networks, and it can't be explained that simple that you'd understand it. I don't speak douchebag.

Don't laugh at me, i'm hopeless with computers, and been having quite a few meter problems!

I found the task manager and i'm using Google Chrome, it shows

    chrome.exe  25.788k

    chrome.exe  27.592

    chrome.exe51.476k

Do I need to change all 3? and what do i set them too? High real time or....

what effect will it have on other programmes

Any help is much appreciated ty

SC is right on, misstery. I found this looking for an answer to your question.

    http://www.wikihow.com/Change-Process-Priorities-in-Windows-Task-Manager

    from that.....

    • these priority names are intuitively obvious; they mean just what they say.
    • the priority level starts out at "Normal", and stays there unless YOU change it.
    • the higher (or lower) you set the program's 'priority', the more (or fewer) system resources will be allocated to it, so it will run faster (or slower) than it did before. "Low", for example, is fine for a program running in background that you do not need to have finish up soon, so that more resources are freed up. "Realtime" is best for something that absolutely has to have maximum resources right now!

What if i just set my PC out by the curb?

I guarantee that my meter problems would go away then.
