as always . if you keep on playing you will make the next tier sooner or later (at least if you are able to shoot a low number from time to time).

I would not worry much about it . WGT wants us to keep on playing to get there ;-)

Heh, the ulterior motive in the whole affair. A way to get top TLs and Red Tee Warriors motivated again.  :-)

    We have our first Champion.

Their status says running on empty.................banged the crap out of a CC something to get there.

Well done to them for getting there as what they wanted, and can only play your opponent given.

I still think WGT missed a huge opportunity here though.  I get the fast $ mentality of New Ideas, but penny wise pound foolish comes to mind as well.

So there are what, 400-500 TLs?

    1,944 TL's as of August 4th.

Well that answers the question - despite any issues with the average calculation - 200 RRs will get you to Champion - and at least that works!

We also now know that the qualifying average is no lower than 56

It could be higher - and the RRs were still required to get there. I guess we wait to see a few more promoted and see if a higher average gets you there.

200 rounds in 7 days is quite some effort imo.   Crazy maybe - but impressive nonetheless.

Looked to be about 30 rounds a day for seven days...I can see why he's running on empty.  I agree with hakman, impressive in a crazy sort of way.  The best part is that it appears he used the starter ball, so the wgt coffers go begging.

One good example of my penny wise pound foolish analogy that is New Ideas.  Beside themselves for the next cheap trick fast buck, just yet again miss the wood for the trees.

Sad though that they are allowed to stuff things up for the longer term in the process of also failing the short term so miserably.

I hope what they do with T Champ makes me eat those words a little, just precious little confidence I will need to.

It's good to know that it works.  It's strange that it might be 200 RRs for everybody.

Looking at Rainbeam's score history, it looks like he might have passed 200RR since the update before his average reached 56, although it's impossible to say for sure, or which event triggered his promotion.

agreed - it is now highly likely to be 56

but I just don't want to jump to conclusions

could be 58 and it was the 200 RRs (and coincidentally he just happens to be just below 56)
