Yes, the upper tiers are diluted

Are they ever. I'm surprised at how fast the Champion tier got watered down. The fun thing about AS is that you have to play from the back tees and it becomes painfully obvious who belongs there and who doesn't.  :-)

When I made TL there was a real sense of achievement - 500 rounds off the back tees avg under 60, (Average - sorry I meant my best 500 rounds....)

Champion - just post 200 rounds.......    worthless title in my opinion.

LOL,  Andy you usually find the non red tee clubs are those taking part in regular inter cc matches.Cant understand enjoyment playing off reds again myself.

Yup, but if they're your partner, you get to see some views you haven't had before!   ;o)

I play an alternate with a  "champion" one day with way better average than mine it's was awfull

All his approach finish into the rough or on the green but too short or too long for a 50 feets putts and when he putt he pass the hole by 20 feets and say his meter is bad

Yes logical a bad meter make you pass the  hole from 20 feets by another 20 feets on green...

    lol

Same thing happened to me...I am an average legend player (68.72)..but I had a Champion tier as a partner one time, and I'm certain I could have beaten him in a head to head match...Rare FW with the drive, he didn't hit an approach shot within 20 ft and he couldn't make a putt over 6 ft.  He made no complaints about meters or anything, he just flat out didn't play well.

No I didn't forget . And they didn't need a green light from me . And no those did not start before that conversation .

Well, did that conversation happen last week or not?  You said:

So last week . Our Champion in question . Or at note . Posted a suggestion that there be red tees available for those that wanted to have a little advantage .

My response was that it was fine with me . And I never gave it another thought .

All the VOTSCC red tee tournaments I listed started between Oct 12th and Nov. 13th.  Today is the 22nd, so anything started before the 15th is "last week".

I could go back further if you like.  Here's one...

Beth & Andy front & back    EASY TEES  3 weeks  opened Sept. 24th  unlimited as usual

Here's the description: "Front & back nines of Bethpage Black and St. Andrews from the easy tees. Five days on each course with tournament greens on all."

It appears hardly a day goes by in VOTSRTCC without a red tee tournament available.

    pdb1:
Although there have been some red tee tourneys made in my CC . Only a handful as I am not a big fan of them .
