Since there was a British Open tie-in last year, can we expect Royal St. George's this year? Or has the British Open thing been dropped? It would be gorgeous if WGT could add in the 9 courses in the British Open rotation, one each year, and then it would done. Kind of simpler than the US Open, because the USGA uses more courses and has no fixed rotation.

ya i recall there being a different hole placement even when going up in ranking hole seemed to be smae spot in kiawah course. i could be wrong buti dont really remember. It would be cool if it did change for status lvl like in real golf you shoot same course every year and tournys do change hole placement depending on lvl of tourny. easy placement for amature and hard for pro. its a good idea

I know you like things to be correct Zagran, so I just thought I'd mention that it's called The Open, not the British Open.

I'm not sure if they are going to partner with the R&A to offer a virtual Open this year. I recently went to the R&A site and there was no mention of it anywhere. But it wasn't until April 15th last year that WGT made the announcement about the Open and April 20th when the R&A confirmed it on their site. So if there is going to be one this year we might have to wait a little over 2 months before we know for sure.

    You are right.

Kind of like the World Series isn't really the world at all, is it?

Nonetheless, outside of the UK "The Open Championship" is generally referred to as the "British Open".

If you mean the future courses in the USGA championship Zone all it shows is the year no specific date. And actually if that is what you are referring to that is the U.S. Open courses for the next few years. It doesn't mean that those are the courses we will get. Last year we got Oakmont which was not the U.S. open course but the ladies open course , If there is a page that does show a specific date I can't find it.

Well, they are all listed under the rubric "Future Courses" with the year when the US Open will be played there. It certainly implies that each course will be made available during the given year. Granted, anything could happen between, say, now and 2019.
