Hey Chad, I played Cabo what a joke it's like Polar Bear golf. Way to easy to begin with and if any of the better players play it much they will be shooting 20-22 for 9 holes. I can't understand how you could spend all this money and time to create WGT one of the GREATEST online games ever created and then add this inferior cartoon  product side by side with WGT.. I understand making a profit as I am self employed but man there has to be a better way than what you have decided to do.

Andy, you're putting lipstick on a pig. I played (and still have) that exact, did I say exact?, course-it was one of the 4 packaged with Links2003. I don't see the effort. I do agree that joining forces with them could lead to something. (Incidentally, the sims start at $6995, not $25K.)

My only hope is that whatever develops with TruCartoons does well and provides whatever  WGT needs to keep their unique  product alive and growing. The CEO boasted of a new course every quarter in the video link of him that was posted a while ago here. Obviously that was a little ambitious and for whatever reason isn't happening. That's OK, better to think that way than not. As it is it looks like 2 courses a year and I could definitely live with that because they improve every time. This year's Opens are going to be insane and a big hit. Plus we'll then have 6 entire, full stroke play courses.

The biggest fear is that one will rub off on the other and nothing will be free. I can't believe the Pro Shop isn't a big cash generator. Balls alone have to be flying out of there. That Cally is almost a standard with most of the players I play with (sidebar MisterWGT-put one out with a fast meter and I'll play them) and at almost $1 a ball with zero cost of goods expense they are pure profit. For that matter, there is no cost of goods for equipment in the first place-it's all virtual. All profit. Apparently not enough to provide for the necessary expansion and growth, though,  and that's where the new partnership comes in.

This could work. Hopefully (selfishly) it will help WGT  keep their brilliant HD vision going and keep Mr. Chad globe trotting.  ;-)

I don't think the e6 package is a pig, they look like photos to me and I'm hoping they  go that way.  If it is the Links version then pucker up. LOL

I missed the $7k version which must be aimed at the poor teaching pro or poor Yankee fan after they buy a ticket to a game.  Next version up is $20K.

I have a better question, Mr. Nelson... that is ~if~ you're still reading these:

Will the shots and stats from TruCartoon still count toward our rewards at WGT?  Can I hit some eagles and aces over there and watch my stats for WGT go up?

I would certainly hope not... and I'm surprised that this question hasn't been addressed yet.

Well, thought I'd see what the course was like.. paid the dollar, and got stuck on the tee off screen. Waited a long time.. finally closed game restarted and clicked to resume the game 3 times.. and each time.. we're Sorry, there had been an error with the game, please close the window and try again later..

I didn't even get to see the first Tee..

I had the same problem when I tried to play Cabo.  Cleared my browser & flash caches and it worked fine after that.

I can't bring myself to pay $1 for 9 holes of golf when I have a similar golf game on my old Artari console gathering dust in the garage that i could hook up and play for free.

Think I've figured it out.....TruGolf have poached Yancy to help them do the graphics  and whatnots.

    just sayin'
