I know that there have been a couple of posts covering this, but could someone give a reasonably definitive answer.

How many "Ranked Rounds" do you have to play as a Champion before saturation is reached ?

I have been told 500 rounds and 200 rounds, it would be nice to have some sort of answer. CS will be a poor option to ask as they will, no doubt just give a vague answer. So does anyone have an answer,

I've knocked out 100 RR's so far, so have far up the road do I still have to travel !

    Thanks

The best agreement that we have is 200 rounds. As always, ranked rounds excluding Par3s and Par5s, also excluding CC Custom Courses.

+1 I reached it late last month so not much further to go for you . You will know once you get there . As soon as you hit the 200 mark your average will go into free fall  .You will see huge drops in your average with every round of -6 or better for awhile and then you will slowly settle down after removing the higher scoring rounds .

So good luck to you the grind is almost over .

I've seen someone claim that it's 500 rounds as well. But it's only been one person who I saw that claimed this. That person claims that it's 200 for those who were Tour Legend when the Champion tier was created. But if you became Tour Legend after that, then it's 500 rounds for those people.

I tend to believe what the other posters in this thread say (i,e, that it's 200 rounds). Like I wrote, it's only one person who I saw make the above claim. Everyone else I've read has always said 200 rounds.

It may be time to rethink, or maybe WGT has made a recent change. I have 227 ranked rounds as a TL and my average still goes up when I have a higher round. I let you know what happens at 250.

    @ttuna1234

If that's the case, then they're just creating an environment that encourages individuals to take the easy way by playing red-tee, country-club tournaments. After I saturated at Legend tier, it took me a year (to the day) to get my average to 60.000 and move up to Tour Legend.

Unless I simply played the front 9 of St. Andrews every day, it would probably take me a couple of years to move to Champion tier, after saturation. That's assuming I played from the default tees for all my ranked rounds.

I guess it's their game, and they can do what they want. But I really hate it when people "move the goalposts." The requirements should be consistent for everyone. Of course, consistency and WGT don't often find themselves in the same sentence. ;-)

    Edit:
But this post by WGTShamWow clearly states it's 200 rounds (unless I am misreading its intent):

    http://www.wgt.com/forums/p/329187/2318629.aspx#2318629

So we now have two new Tiers, Champion and Tour Champion. The requirements for these are:

    - Champion Tier is 200 ranked rounds in Tour Legend on top of what you have already played up until the 7/30 release.

-Like other tier requirements there is an average score required.

    *sighs*

Subtract all the Par3 (Bandon) and Par5 games that you had. Plus CC Custom Course rounds.
