Missing the ding to draw or fade plays exactly as I would expect a draw or fade to play.

Pretty much, except it always seemed backward. If you miss the ding early, wouldn't that mean you're hitting the ball early in your swing? IRL when I hit the ball early, it ain't going to draw, it's going to banana ball slice since the clubface hasn't reached square.

That's just my logical look at it. Doesn't really matter as long as you know how to play the curve ball in WGT.

But there is no draw or fade w/ the irons. Search out the topics and you will see all the info.

I have seen what others say on this topic. All I know, is that I can play my irons around trees. It doesn't matter to me much that others tell me it doesn't work. I use the shot and find it very beneficial when needed. I am not trying to be contrary. I am just saying it works fine for me. If you try it and it doesn't work for you, then I guess don't use it.

You can play irons around trees, etc. but that doesn't mean you hit a 'draw' or 'fade' as per the actual definition of the word.

The wind does move the ball, and you can hit early or late and there are effects that come into play but the focus of what I'm addressing is that there is no TRUE draw or fade programmed into the irons.

This is admitted by WGT and what 'draw or fade programming' that was not included in this game, and the result of what IS included you can ask them or test for yourself.

I honestly don't know what you are talking about. I can curve the ball left or right, with or against the wind, and it plays like I expect a draw and fade to play. I can do this with irons and woods equally. It is as simple as that.

Tip for new players: Don't just read about this stuff, or take someones word for it. Go try it yourself. Learn how to play ALL shots, and your game will improve drastically.

Someone please post a reply of a shot that curves right to left or left to right.

Not an off ding pull or a push, without any shape created by wind.

Show me a ball that starts to THE RIGHT of your intended target and curves sharply LEFT.  As much as 10, 20 or 30 yards.  Show me a snap hook around a tree blocking your line.

IRL, club path inside to out with a closed clubface at impact would create this shot.  Or, for the average hack, the dreaded banana ball.  Outside to in club path with an open clubface.

Show me how you replicate these shot shapes in WGT.

When I see it, I'll beleive it.

    Curving shot.

It is possible to get a shot to curve in this game, but to get any real movement you need to aim in one direction, and click so late on the other side of the meter, that you are in danger of hitting a shank because you are so close to going past the perimeter line on the shot meter.

Missing the ding line left or right is best used to compensate for a crosswind in this game in my opinion.

..and note that Scott is using a DRIVER where, as stated, a draw and fade are possible. But not w/ the irons.

I am open to see a shot with the IRONS curve, if you simply post a replay.

Scott, can you do it with an iron shot?  (FWIK Scott knows you cannot)

Further, you can draw & fade a DRIVER shot AGAINST* a crosswind.

Post a draw and fade w/ and IRON shot that goes, say, left to right with a crosswind that is blowing right to left. Show the replay of the ball flight curving, as Scott has done with the driver.

This is possible in many other golf games and in real life, but I have never demonstrated this (WITH A REPLAY) in this game.

P.S.  If you have an iron approach, and the wind is left to right and you hit late, past ding, the ball will travel to the right OBVIOUSLY but the ball flight (before landing) will not curve.

Once again, that's a DRIVER SHOT not and iron.

SHOW A DRAW/FADE with and IRON shot.
