  he wouldn't have been allowed on a golf course mate....you ain't allowed to wear sandals on the greens.

  maybe not in jolly ole England, Easy', due to the constant dampness. But here in sunny California players wearing sandals are a common sight. Soft spikes of course, metal spikes are strictly prohibited.
