My first dabble with WGT was at the time of VUSO qualifying at Oakmont.  At that time,  my thoughts were "Wow what a tough course...".    Over the years, I've respected Oakmont and she has come to me,  giving me some good rounds there.

    However,   now she is gone.

i respectfully ask the members of the WGT community to post replays of your best Oakmont shots here, as a reminder of what a great course she was.......

    Oh but you can't....

It seems that all history of Oakmont has been deleted on WGT.   Only Facebook or other media streaming devices will remind us that there was once this great course here.....

    Hi,

Our agreement with the course has ended, so it’s no longer playable on WGT.

    stevereilly:

    Same score for me Steve.

It was also the course that gave me my first hole in one, simultaneously my first double eagle.  A 299 yard tee shot on the 17th, several years ago.  I think it's in my profile, can't imagine I deleted a shot like that.

    Bugger.

    Bugger, bugger, bugger.

My Diamond award is still there. Also replays (where I saved/shared the link).

Anyone remember seeing the landscape of Saint Andrew's surrounding the 8th green at Oakmont? http://www.wgt.com/gameclient.aspx?view=showReplay&JSON=%7B%22GUID%22%3A%22afe7246c-7cec-4393-9b98-a27f00a60d0e%22%2C%22Brand%22%3A%22%22%7D

Such a shame, Oakmont was a tough course and I always enjoyed playing it for the challenge.

Am disappointed in WGT's inability to renew the course license. Without a detailed accounting from WGT regarding why they couldn't renew the license, I have to believe it's another example of WGT's unwillingness to spend money on this game.

i just tried creating a game on the Oak when I noticed she was gone. Looks like I've lost my favorite course. Been on WGT since 2009......never thought the best course on WGT would disappear.....

She reminded me of a girlfriend so long ago..

They both gave a little but took a lot.....................
