    So WGT

1.How long have you known this ?

2.Does that mean one new course coming soon but one has now gone so no additional course this year for us ?

3.Or have you another to replace Oakmont ?

    I will try..

    1. I fear since you broke the agreement to not use their holes in "best ofs" sort of peed them off, as their holes were getting used in "custom courses". That was after mobiles could use them a few months ago. So in short they probably advised you months ago.

    2. Yes,

    3. No.

Now i will go back to our country club Tour Schedule and change all Oaky courses to something else, in truth i find it a pain trying to incorporate the few courses we have thus not boring the lugs off folk........but i willl do my best.

Keeping folk informed is a biggy in the customer service industry, regulators normally come down on heavy on companies who dont do this.........or are you not regulated ?

Will leave the last question for you to answer.

We are playing our league fixture #20 on Oaky this week. I'll do my best to give it a proper send off on Sunday.

    R.I.P.

    WGTicon:

    Hi,

Our agreement with the course has ended, so it’s no longer playable on WGT.

    -WGTicon

Wow, that's it? No announcement what so ever,,,shame on you. Not even a farwell-tournament for this gr8 course, one of the most challenging overhere.....and the only "2-times VUSOcourse"....shame, shame, shame...:-(

    Cheers, GC

I guess they couldn't make a new agreement , WOW . So does that mean this could happen again ? What other courses are on the chopping block ,?  What a shame ,  Upper management cant or wont spend a dime .. Renegotiate an Agreement , What's the big deal , Money ?  Give them their cut .

Not surprising at all. I penned months ago, amid complaints of WGT's lackluster performances, by many players, that Top Golf bought WGT, as a failing business to have a tax write off.

If you've ever seen one of there buildings, it has to be an anchor, in the summer time, or times of best weather, when all are outside on the real courses.

No surprise at all it happened during tax season, as did the loss of the Nike product line.

Just speculation on my part. However, plausible speculation.

Down sizing, for mobile platforms only. The days of the mighty PC are numbered, on many fronts

How long can they keep a beta version running?

I can't help feeling Oakmont not being available was not decided by WGT or TopGolf.  I'd be prepared to bet those in power at Oakmont CC were unhappy that the course was allowed to be carved up for custom courses.

We'll never know what sort of discussion ensued, assuming I'm right of course, but if this is indeed the reason it's a shame a deal couldn't have been made.  If someone needed to bend over and take one for the team I'm sure they could have drawn straws in the WGT/TopGolf office to see who got to drop 'em.

It's a big shame for us players, it really is.  Oakmont was such a great test, a sub 60 round there felt like all your birthdays had arrived at once.

    Sad.  Very sad.

Another question that probably won't get an answer....

Many guys took advantage of WGT's new custom course gizmo to create courses using some of the holes at Oakmont.  Those members spent a lot of credits for that privilege.

Are WGT going to reimburse those that spent credits only to find their courses are no longer playable ?

(given WGT's form,  I'm not expecting a response).

I'll answer my own question,    No , as creating the coures was free,  only hosting tournaments on them cost money.

I feel that WGT knew about this ever since the custom course option became available,  why not tell us ?

What a disgrace to lose Oakmont, and as compensation we get a golfer with a bow tie for 800 credits lol. Makes one wonder what course is next ? Cabo and Whistler and now Oakmont, at this rate we'll back were it started with one course to play :( Thanks topgolf
