AgentBrown123: What's your basis behind saying they don't owe us anything? For those that have spent hundreds of dollars on the game and hundreds of hours I would strongly argue they do.
The basis is threefold.
First, the base game is free. There is no obligation to make any purchases to play the game. Making purchases is the user's choice but is not required.
Second, the purchases made were for specific products (balls, clubs, or other items). WGT delivered on what they promised. Users paid X amount of credits and received this set of clubs or that type of ball. WGT made no promises other than that.
Third, they provide a way to make purchases without one having to spend money. Yes, a person will then have to spend time to complete surveys or watch videos. But the point remains that spending money is not required. WGT provides a way in which a person can pay without the outlay of cash.
The bottom line is that WGT doesn't require users to spend money to play the game, and they do deliver on the promises to those who do. People get the product they paid for. No one has ever paid WGT for the promise of the delivery of new courses or for a promise that they will explain why certain things take place (for example, the loss of Oakmont). Or if anyone did, I'm not sure how that worked.
