    .is there a Dinosaur Tour?

    9/51.  I'm in.  :-)

Same here, and a Dino Tour sounds fair to me.

    garyk49:

If they would put it at single play, and open the course for practice.  You would not see these low of scores by all the top guns.

This is the only way to make it really interesting and a bit more realistic.  Not totally realistic as the scores will still be daft compared to real life but at least you wouldn't need to birdie every hole to qualify.

Sadly it'll never happen.  All those balls being bought in the pro shop are just too good for them to turn down.

It would be great though wouldn't it, single play qualifying?

I think you're in...7/51 here so you're a tad closer to mammal but only by a couple of months.

9/51 here 2 . We could start the OLD FOSSILS TOUR

I have no issue with it being multi play.

    It's a once a year event.

To qualify you need to practise at some point somewhere.  I (more luck than judgement) shot a 56 early, but enjoyed going around a new course a few times anyway.  At least it's a test that requires some ability unlike that nonsense called the clash................

The usual suspects plus a few I guess will compete seriously in the SP finals and people like me will enjoy the view:).........Sure for most of us those special rounds are way less frequent, but I also can't be bothered with a note or even mapping as much as I should (as I see it anyway).....

Plenty of RGs all year for SP tests or the clash for those that really just can't:)

56 IMHO still plenty, but pundits take TV jobs where they can for a reason:)

I have no issue with unlimited rounds in qualifying and I know that WGT loves the ball use that happens.    Being unlimited makes it so more of the lessor players have a chance of shooting that one good round and getting in.  If it was single play I think you would see 95% of the same names.

I do wish WGT would do a cut after two rounds like the real Open does, maybe do a little more in terms of prizes for those who make the cut and maybe have some decent prizes for the top 10.

I would think that with all the money generated in the qualifying via ball purchases, WGT could afford to maybe pay the 2 through 9 finishers 90k, 80k, 70k, etc. in credits.  It's not like they have to buy them or the virtual equipment and balls that would be purchased with the winnings.

It's always been winner, plus a lucky draw winner that takes the lot.  Maybe WGT see the qualifying prize as reward enough.  I too would like to see more prizes for the main event even if that means taking away some of the creds for qualifying.  If the cut holds out at 56 you'll probably see at least 230 making it through.  If that was the number and they cut the qualifying reward from 2000c to say 1500c, they would have a spare 115,000 creds to dish out in the main event to make it interesting for a lot more players.

They might see more sticking with it rather than a fast WD after a bad early round to save ball hits.

only way to make it harder to shoot these scores????

Stop having the same people winning thousands of credits each month. By these people having unlimited amounts of top balls to use they will be able to spend all day getting that perfect score. When credits dont mean anything to theses people they have no problem in using up 10 balls a day to get a extra -1 on their score. Make a new tier for people that make silly amounts of credits a day/week/month and let them fight it out between themselves instead of just winning all the over ones.

To see someone have like 100,000 credits is ridiculous. Make it tougher for them to win credits and maybe then they will have to start worrying about not restarting a round 90% of the time after a few holes but when they have pretty much unlimited amount of top quality balls then this will never happen. They won't be able to play all day with top balls......

I agree with you but I still think that putting an extra 450,000 credits in the pot for 2nd through 10th place isn't a big deal.    WGT is crediting these for free and we are buying virtual items, true it is a lost opportunity cost for WGT sine those winners would use credits instead of having to buy them but I also agree that the number of WD's would decline and probably make up for the lost credits.

They could also accomplish this by limiting the amount you get for making the cut as you mentioned.  To me it's seems that WGT is a little cheap in a number of ways, advance to Champion and you enough credits to buy half a sleeve of balls, lol
