    77Rachel:
More importantly though is that, despite acknowledgement of the issue by many players (in this thread and others), WGT seems to be doing their normal disappearing act rather than address it. A simple response stating that they are aware that their customer base is unhappy with this thing and are dealing with it would suffice, yet I see nothing resembling that. (I suppose its possible that such a response has been given and I just don't know about it, but that seems unlikely.)  In my humble and probably misplaced opinion, that is the more important issue here.

    +1

Customer-No-Service is what we now know as The Norm.  The forum titled Product Suggestions is out there as a Suggestion Box, but, anything posted in there winds up in WGT's circular file.  It appears WGT's new products/features brainstorming meetings are run by kids playing with Nintendo DSIs.  This site is now so,so far away from being the RL Golf Simulator it was originally designed to be,  It's now a virtual TopGolf Driving Range geared to the younger, easily amused crowd.  Us virtual RL golf experience seekers are basically being told FU on a regular basis around here.  That's truly a shame.

Well, to be fair, that number would most likely include anyone who has ever visited this site.  😀

And you won't. A response like that would presume that they plan on doing something about it and that ain't happening-it would affect the sales of those silly effects.

+1 WGT doesnt respond for the most part to what we either like or dont like . They hardly tell us whats going on with the updates so anything else is out of the question . Come the next down time there may be an option to turn it off so it wont be visible .

The WGT way is very simple . Play or dont play leave or stay . Spend or dont spend its all entirely up to you . They will and are going to make money regardless of what we do as an individual customer . The only way to have an impact is in mass protest by the players and that wont be happening .

This is my first WGT Forum post and I’m at the Champion Level. Not sure that it matters, but I feel it’s worth noting to potentially help support my opnion on this topic.

Anyhow, I absolutely feel the wand effects my play, at least initially. I get frustrated not being able to adjust spin (which is a huge aspect to a score, imo) efficiently. I often have to adjust it manually, click-by-click, versus using the dot in the center of the ball. Further, when I attempt to close the “ball effect” window, it often opens up my profile, as the two are so close together. Multiply this happening 20-30 times per round, it adds to ones impatience and frustration. These added negative emotions can easily cost you strokes, as many of you I’m sure know how important confidence is in playing at higher levels and scoring well.

LOL, the WGT we all knew is gone, their mission was accomplished!

They had a concept, developed it, got investors to fund further development, then sold it for a nice profit!

    End of story...

Top Golf is a newer version of miniature golf, or Goofy Golf, and that won't change...WGT is now WGT Media, more of a advisory roll which implements TG's new ideas...

I believe the average age of people who played the old version of WGT was like somewhere in the mid 50's, TG business plan goes after the younger crowd, won't change no matter how much you complain...

The wand is here to stay, pray for a feature to turn it off, which of course will screw up 2 of the other features needed to play and enjoy the game, then you "really" have something to complain about LOL

Me, I just hope that when they sell the PC version, it is not to another Goofy Golf company!

Hard to disagree Dan.....and based on the direction the game has taken, I reviewed the "wand".......positively of course :))

I have even gone into my local pro shop to ask is there anything I can do to simulate the effects with my real golf balls..........sadly without attaching fireworks to the ball, I am shite out of luck.

OMG...I this not the stupidest add on ever?

WGT continues to try extract $$$ out f our pockets yet never improves the game itself.

How about some new courses? Wouldn't that be a novel idea!

I have about $200 on this game since May. Overpriced balls that you sometimes simply steal, ridiculous club costs, and on and on. But I still play. NOW you want to force feed me something that messes with the integrity of my screen and gameplay?

You will not get another nickel from me until it goes away. I lived the first 23 years and 5 mo of my life with you, so I am sure I will be fine for the rest.

in the spirit of Thanksgiving, i'd be willing to help you out with balls  - you seem sincere! Spending $200 on a video game is absurd lol - shoot me a message on my profile and i'll help you out :)
