i'm shooting 2 or 3 shots better with it, sometimes 5 or 6!, so winning more credits in RG's. So still making a tidy profit.
Sorry but not buying that bridge you`re selling . The ball has only been in the pro shop for 9 days now so cant see it making that much of a difference in your game .

Maybe if you post this in the ball review section of the pro shop it may help the ball sell . In all honesty you sound like a wgt. employee trying to boost ball sales . Since you have very good stats I doubt very seriously that the ball is making that much of a difference for you .

I can see the reasons, for your thinking!  The numbers in his scoring history, tend to make his statement slightly suspect.

I tend to shoot 58/59 on a decent round. I've been shooting a few 56/57's and even had a 52 & a 53 this past week. The simple fact is that i'm hitting more dings on long irons and long putts. You can believe what you want. All i'm saying is, it's a good ball and it's helping me shoot better scores.

I don't doubt what you are saying, or your credentials as someone that has been around the block more than a few times...

I just believe the same observations could be made regarding comparable rounds played under slightly different heavy wind conditions while using the old L71 Nike ball.  Good heavy winds you can easily see a 5-6 shot swing over bad heavy winds which limit birdie and eagle opportunities.  The same will likely be quite true with the Titleist...

if it does prove otherwise and people discover they can cut through heavy winds and reach par 4's that are unreachable with the other balls...then definitely you will see more players participating in ready go's switching over.  But unless you are winning credits at a pretty high rate, it is still hard to justify the expense.

So far...I still see top players still playing the balls they know quite well.

Ok titleist are great balls..but only for the few that can afford to use them. That leaves 90% of the player base wih nothing to get  excited about .Even the TM balls aint cheap.I certainly wont be buying any.

The only way for longevity is more content that is playable for all period. Not equipment.

Maybe it's a good sign to see such reknowned names and maybe it means there is something better in the future. But if the player base decreases too far the end will come whatever.

I keep my fingers crossed it is a good sign.

Really ? Well if its that great a ball then what ball were you using when you were playing and posting score 61 - 63 ? Because looking at your scoring of rounds played today what happened ? I think you just got some good rounds with the right winds and the game just played easier for you . We all get them at times when it seems that we cant miss a putt and everything just goes right .

Not taking anything from you being a good player, I`m just not giving the ball that much credit .

I'm just giving my opinion on a product i've been using. I believe the titleist ball is helping me to score better. I see it on the course when i play shots that i don't think i could of played using my old ball choice. The slower meter has helped me to ding & hole more putts which is also helping me. I'm sorry that you don't like my opinion.

Yes i was using the Titleist ball. I made a few mistakes in those rounds. It happens. I'm not the type to just WD when playing badly like some do just to protect their stats. Nothing to do with the ball though

It is not that at all, I am sorry if you feel that way...  I can still value your opinion or observations... I am still waiting for more support because I just feel (my opinion) these same swings could be accounted for the varying wind conditions as well.  I get the slower meter may help but you had to shoot those same type of scores to get where you are at even before the Titleist balls were released.  I highly doubt it is the first time you have posted those type of scores.  you don't come across as a "red tee" champ so you clearly are a top player...

Top players like yourself are already playing extremely high level...so it is hard to imagine where an additional 5 or 6 shots are left out there when I see nearly flawless golf already... we are talking 16 17 18 under par and lower!  Of course I have watched someone shoot 14 or 15 under par and they felt it was a crappy round.

Now you may be human like the rest of us and your game went into a lull or you just are not firing on all cylinders lately, but you had to have done so in the past...

I don't pay for the top end balls regularly.  Sometimes, I splurge because I feel I may need the extra distance or more spin for a really long course with elevated greens, otherwise even something like the L61 former nike and now TM remains pretty playable.

If you would like to play a few holes or round, I would be willing to play a moderately priced ball and compare it to your Titleist so that I could see the difference.  Granted your skill level will also be a factor but we would get a rough idea how much more distance is gained off the tee and how much more bite it has around the green.  I won't shy away from tough conditions if that gives us the best comparison either.  Will just throw that out there.  Thanks for your post and sharing your observations!

Just ignore them Dazza.  Not sure why some feel compelled to tell you that you're not seeing what you're seeing.

These balls are helping me shoot lower scores.

Nawww it must be the wind.

Nawww you just had a round.

    Pfft!

No one has said he is not seeing his own observations, just that there are multiple factors that can be considered that can also explain such things as swings in ones score...  newer and lower tier players put a lot of value in top players observations so before we start trying to justify spending upwards of 1000 credits for one sleeve of balls ... i feel it would help to see more than a couple or few rounds... what is wrong with that?

Top players are winning lots of credits with l34 cally balls, fmags one of the top credit winners on a monthly basis plays the majority of his rounds with the l61 ball...

If we can learn to play competitively with a mid range cost ball with consistent results ...some would prefer to save the excess expense unless there is strong evidence over dozens of rounds that show it is worth it and the cost could be recouped by winning tournaments... otherwise it comes across as misleading and gives lower tier players false hope the ball will lower their scores...

I can respect the play and opinion of others and still probe for a clearee picture and understanding of the results reported.

I bought some new irons in real life a couple of years back. Cut my handicap down a couple of shots. Now i'm thinking maybe it was just because the wind was right on every single round i've played since i got them :-)
