  Thank You, Jim.  As I considered "what to do next", silence seemed to be the least honorable option.  

  Again, as I said in the other post, I'm completely aware that expulsion from the Community is both realistic and warranted.  It was a matter of integrity at this point.  (And yes, I realize that "integrity" seems like a funny word based on my actions.  All I can do is act with it from here on out.)

  Firstly I would like to say that your comment during the game was shocking and I honestly feel that in no way did I deserve that kind of abuse !

  Secondly, I am glad that you have addressed the issue in the manner that you have chosen, It shows strength of character, all I ask from you is that you PLEASE consider that what you type to a person can and does have an affect, I will not lie to you, you hurt me deeply with what you said, but when all is said and done, i'm a big girl and a grown up, therefore I will accept your apology, but please consider this event as a wake up call.

  WGT has many female members, and guess what what ? some of us can actually play a little, we play because we love the whole WGT experience, and in no way will I allow the minority to spoil my fun.

  OK people, here's my view on things now, the guy has had the balls to reply in public and has shown regret ! can we move on ? with a condition, any abuse is unacceptable, it needs to be stamped out, so hopefully many people can learn from this.

  imperialrock, I am willing to forgive, and even play a game with you again ! but please don't ever cross that line again.

  I just love a happy ending, this was handled with the up most of regret by the accused, apology accepted by the victim, and possibly a warning to anyone in the future, to exercise the brain before the mouth. I get upset at myself during matches, whether stroke play alone or an AS. I am in the prime of my life and enjoy every new friend I make. I could not excuse myself for missing the opportunity to make another one. Life is way too short. I wear my heart on my sleeve, and try to be nice to everyone. I have never been thin skinned, but I take all remarks as stated and make my choices at that point. Maybe imperial was like I was last night, a little tipsy. I was able to stay fun and polite. Again, this is just a game and games are meant to be fun. Bravo for all the posts supporting Helen, and Bravo to imperial for coming forward and taking the beat down. Tee em up folks.

  Helen, your response to my post was both kind and gracious.  Thank you for that, as it certainly wasn't a response that you had to give.  

  Silence on my part would have been cowardly and disingenuous.  Silence on your part would have been perfectly acceptable - thanks for responding in the way that you did.

  As for the "fallout" here, I hope that your comment is right - I hope that this becomes a chance to put an end to abuse in every form on this site.  There was no part of me that felt good about what I said, and you're right about purging out comments and actions like that wherever they're found.  

  Not sure still what this means for us (me) and WGT - - maybe they let it be settled among the players, maybe not.  I'm likely going to be taking a short break from WGT in either case, simply for a little time to re-evaluate personally.

  To Other Posters Besides Helen:  This isn't a thread about conceding putts.  It's a thread about treating people with respect.  I did not do that in this case, but she and I have exchanged words.  If you want to talk about curbing abuse, that seems fine.  But it's not an issue of putt concession.

  Anyhow......thanks again for your kind words and acceptance of my apology.  I appreciate them both.

  Imperialrock:  All though you cannot take your words back you did not only the right and proper thing but you did it in an open forum for all to see your mistakes and faults as a human. 

  Helen: While most would not be so easy to forgive, I think your willingness to forgive says a lot about your character.

  Friend request graciously accepted.  Helen, you are hands down one of the kindest folks I've met to respond in this way.  

  We will let everyone know once we've played, not that it really matters to the whole community, but Helen's actions have been humbling to me, and I want to make sure she's recognized properly for them.
