    rockinroller:
I went to that app but got all kinds of warnings about it being potentially unsafe, so I didn't proceed.

Yes rockin', you will get those when trying to download an executable file, that's just your browser and or Windows trying to keep you safe. My stuff is fine, I use it, as do others on here.

If you are worried, download it then do a virus scan on it before running.

Thanks for all of the advice.  I currently have WGT working on my desktop, filling the screen by approximately 85% so that's good enough.  Resolution is set at 1920 x 1080 to "Window".  I think what allowed the game to return to almost full size now is that I went into the registry and deleted WGT.  For some reason it was creating a conflict in getting any reasonable playing area on my screen.

    Okay rockin', have fun!

But if you want 100% screen use + taskbar visibility, you know what to do.  ; )

...not the best picture I've ever taken but it shows what I want.

    ( WGT commentator : " That's a huge bezel! " )

If you are not satisfied with this, then you can install windows 10.

It might be worth trying to adjust the display settings in Windows 11 or checking for updates for the game and for Windows 11 to see if either of those options helps fix the problem.

So you cannot play WGT on your laptop unless you switch out of S mode??
