Sorry for the bitter tone but I must say that I am quite disappointed.
I finished top 10 in the October Fall Championship and finished top 3 (tied for first place with Dansamcam) in the November Fall Championship.
So, because I finished in top 3, I am thus qualified for the final played by 9 players only. I knew that I could not win the 1000$ prize but I didn't care, I was just happy to play this competition with other top players. I am much more interested by the "sportive" part of this game than by the "money" part of it. (that's why I do not play much ready-goes).
But the final has started and I am not qualified (other players who were not in top 3 are playing it).
Even more strange, elvinomepego (who finished 3rd in November) and myself are now removed from the leaderboard of the November Fall Championship (and also from October Fall Championship)

So, I didn't received the two 100$ amazon gift cards for finishing twice in the top 10. But in the tournament rules it's indeed written that my country is not among the elligible countries. OK fine.
But it was not written that your country has to be elligible to be qualified for the final in January. It's just written that you need to be in the top 3 that's what I did in November.
So not only you don't receive the money you won (OK fine, it's written somewhere in the rules) but you cannot play the competition for which you qualified...
So you are spending time and money playing those Fall/Winter competitions for nothing:
- Your name is removed from the leaderboard at the end (it's like you didn't play them)
- You cannot receive any prize
- You cannot play the final for which you qualified
Yep quite disappointed...
Sorry again for the bitter tone...
Regards
Edit:
OK I found the link to the tournament and it looks like I can play it if I want (like anybody, it's not restricted). If nothing is wrong with that I could play it... But motivation is a bit down now :) .
I understand that players who were not in top 3 are qualified for the final. Indeed imagine that each month (October, November and December), the top 3 are players from countries that are not elligible, then no prize are awarded for the final between those 9 players.
But a better way to handle this would be the following.
The top 3 players are qualfied + the subsequent players to have 3 elligible players qualified each month. For example if the top 3 is three non-elligible players, and the 4th, 5th and 6th are elligible, then those 6 players are qualified. So like this, you have a final with 9 elligible players that compete for the prize + additional players who qualified thanks to the scores they post but who cannot win the prize (and thus they play it for the fun if they want to or not if they like to play for money only).
