personally I think it's quite embarrassing that it's taken so long for Augusta to accept female members.

hopefully Muirfield (venue for next year's British Open) follows Augusta's lead.

and to any other golf club who doesn't accept female members....shame on them.

    tbe

I have to disagree with you post and agree with with the minority.

Are there any "men only" "gentlemen" clubs in anyones area?

Are there no "Ladies only"..etc. clubs?

The only one I can think of is the Formby Ladies Golf Club on the Lancashire coast in England. Male and Females can visit and play, but membership of the club I believe is Ladies only, although maybe wrong? with the Formby Golf Club at the side of the Ladies Golf Club open to Men. The Formby Golf Club I believe is an Open Qualifier when the Open is at Birkdale (maybe)...One of many great courses on the Lancashire coastline.

Next, we need to bang on the doors of female only colleges to accept men....

    no need to bang doors
