Played the Olympic a few times first time round hit +10 and had a few go's since. Today managed to struggle a -2. Still way out of the qualify cut and there is no way gonna shoot  a -7 to qualify. This is really tough and looking through the qualifiers most are level 90+ and im only level 82. its just an impossible task for me. There is no way I can compete.

Well clearly anyone who isn't a TM or legend will struggle. My best round is level par; 4 birdies but also 4 bogies.

I could blame the fact we're playing off legend tees and tournament greens without legend level equipment but in all honesty I'm just not good enough at this game yet ...

Would be nice if there was an open championship for each tier in addition (although the sandbaggers would presumably win that ;))

Hate to make your misery worse, Silky, but this won't even get you into the gallery. It's 1/2 of what you're going to need. :-(

FWIW, the level has nothing to do with it other than it lets you get the better equipment. I'm a Level 96 Legend and doubt very seriously if I will qualify. Not worth getting bothered about. Sit back and watch the lions tear each other up-should be good.  :-)

Put it like this, i managed to make position 32 with a 58, yet i'm back out trying to improve because i know it will never be enough.  But i don't mind either as its practice.  Its good to know the course layout because there's tree's on this course that can stop your round dead.  Tree's you wouldn't even think could effect shot.  Not just 1 or 2, there's loads of them.  If i would have known when WGT were photographing the course i would have beaten them to it with my chainsaw so the course would have less pesky branches. Every time i'm on a good round i seem to get attracted to a branch, even if i hadn't aimed there.

Tiger Woods wishes he could restart every round he played after a few bad holes too ;)

Yeah the baggers probably would but on the lighter side....It would make the course a lot more fun by doing it that way as to not hurt us lower tiered golfers.

I was in your shoes last year.   I couldn't qualify for either opens. Take it as a learning experience ,  Stick with it  and by the time it rolls around next year you will be good to go with best clubs and increased shotmaking knowledge.
