So Andyson what you are saying is the guy who called me a nimrod is  in reality nothing more than a nimrod wanna be   lol

I'll stand by what I said, the challenge is great and it is just that, a challenge. I do agree a little with Santiago about defaulting to the putter but that discussion has been had many times and everyone has their own opinion.

I have aced all the holes except #8 and I'm still trying that one.  Hopefully WGT can give us 3 or 4 more of these challenges.  Please make an easy one so that certain people with lower skill levels won't feel too 'challenged'.

Putts of those distances are absolutely unrealistic. I've been playing golf for 20 years and haven't had less than a dozen putts of that length in all the time I've played, and most of those wer hen I first started.

    HUMORMAN:

I would like to understand why that when I made the first putt of 83 feet, twice I have done it and it saved it the same way both times on this 9 hole putting challenge only to have it  saved as a 28 foot putt on hole #2?not mad,but It would be nice to have it saved as it was played.

It's listed as 28 yards (I think that happens with practice rounds as well)

As far as Hole #2 goes... St. Andrews # 2

Mine on #3 and #9 both show the distance in yards and the respective courses hole number.  What I don't like is the view from directly behind the hole isn't available in the saved replay.  It always goes to the Blimp overhead view.

    Santiago124:

1.) Why cant the longest putt on the course (#8) be logged as a players record once it has been aced?

    Longest Putt Made

Longest putt made in a stroke play game

I guess they figure if you can take the exact same shot over and over...not worth awarding.  I sank a stroke play putt that travelled 52 feet but since it was only 49.9 feet from the hole I'm still stuck with the Bronze Award.

Lonniescott711........I tend to disagree.  This WGT BEST OF PUTTING challenge has been fun.....and different.  And, of course, none of us should be making LONG putts when we're playing "ranked rounds".......getting those approach shots as close to the hole is important.

I have been keeping record of my PUTTING "Holes In One" on this CTTH challenge.....think I'm up to 12 now, on 3 different holes......including that 260 footer.  Have YOU made that putt yet??????  Since this is a CTTH, I don't know WHY....WGT doesn't ADD these Hole In Ones to our AWARD section....it's NOT easy sinking ANY of those 9 putts!!!

You don't HAVE to play this WGT BEST OF PUTTING challenge, ya know.  Some members may NOT enjoy the WGT BEST OF WATER HOLES CTTH......because, you can definitely LOSE some good balls on that course.

I appreciate WGT keeping things interesting for us..........though, I WISH they would open up Pebble Beach & Wolf Creek (for free) ranked round play.  It would be GREAT to have a wider selection of courses to play.

    Thanks,

    Bob

Hey "russellie".......Making this putt is "possible"....after several attempts, I was able to sink this 260 Footer.  I  have the REPLAY on my profile....I just made a mistake and labeled it in terms of YARDS.......but, it's 260 FEET.

I've seen at least ONE other WGT member's REPLAY.....who made this 260 FOOT putt;  I'm sure there are others.

Sept. 9th.....P.S. from earlier today.  Strange thing.  Once again....I made that 260 foot Putt on the WGT BEST OF PUTTING challenge.  The first time I made that putt was on August 9th.

I'm not seriously ever going after TOUR LEGEND......am fine with being a LEGEND, playing CTTH, Tournaments & matches with WGT friends.......and it's great to sink a difficult birdie putt.....or hit another Hole In One.

Hey.....THANK YOU, Mr. Tarheel *smile*......I really appreciate that coming from you.  WOW....you've made everyone of those putts except Hole #8.......dang!  I feel sure I was just VERY LUCKY......made that putt on August 9th & again on Sept. 9th.  When I hit that putt on Sept. 9h.......the thump, thump sound started going off.....and I thought, no way.....it's just going to be close.....I'm NOT that lucky - but, it went in the hole.

I've played those 9 holes MANY times.....and until NOW, I really didn't think that ALL 9 holes were potential Hole In Ones.  On Hole #2 & #5.....I've hit tthe holes....and my ball bounced up in the air and didn't go in the hole.....so, I sort of just figured....those 2 were not possible.............but, you have proved me WRONG......Ha!

Keep after it......I feel SURE you'll get that long putt.

Coming from a Legend who has a total of  (121) Hole In Ones on CTTH challenges (compared with my  21)...........your compliment just made my day!!!!!!!  *smile*

    Thanks,

    Bob
