Least favourite hole?

  am i the only one who find BP#5 more difficult than BP#15 ? BP#15 i've birdied the last 2 times i played the back 9 .. struggle more to get close on #5 ..

  I just read through this thread and I can't believe no-one has mentioned Oakmont 8th (the par 3). I reckon it's about the only hole in the game I've never had a birdie on. Both pins are a total nightmare and with the back pin and a headwind you can't even reach the green.

  That is a hard hole, it's the really long par 3 but it is pretty easy to make par on.

  The 9th hole is difficult to even par.  Approach shot is very difficult, if you go long you are pretty much going to 3 putt.  I have had more success landing in the bunker and playing out of it than anything else.  I believe that I have made 2 birdies on number 9 in all my play on that course and probably almost as many bogies as pars.

  I find that I quite often birdie the middle pin on OAK 9 just not the front right one.

  One of my least favourites is the 2nd at Olympic. The problem comes from the 2nd shot. Usually I'm left with between 142-155 yd shot into a 22-24 ft elevated green. 

  If I go straight at the flag I will either end up short and in the front bunker or if I manage to get it over the bunker it will fly through the green and into 40-50% rough. When I try and avoid the front bunker by playing slightly to the left of it and into the heart of the green the ball invariably will fall of the green to the left leaving an awkward pitch back to the hole.

  I think that of all the times I've played this hole I have only managed to hold the green with my second shot about 5% of the time and I have never birdied it.

  I had that problem right up until I got the R11s. I could hold it with the burners and G20s in a headwind but never otherwise.

  Most elevated shot really require R11s and NIkes (or a large roll-out area) to have a chance of stopping consistently. Not what you want to hear at L54...

  Must be your clubs. Lvl33 Raptures aren't of high trajectory.

  I don't succeed all the time, but the lvl83 G20s and Tour-SDs are certainly good enough to do the job.

  You might have to look for the best miss which might be in the rough at the lower end of the green - straight up to the pin.

  Thanks for the feedback guys, much appreciated.

   

  I'm counting down the days to the lvl 59 G20's, currently I'm lvl 54. Hopefully they might solve some of my problems. Also going to upgrade my putter to the lvl 55 Rossa and maybe also upgrade my wedges if I have enough funds.
