  I found Oakmont impossible.  I couldn't get to the par 4's in 2 or some of the par 3's in one.  How could anyone shoot under par ?????

  I didn't qualify but I just shot an even par 72 on St. Andrews and that's with bogying the last 2 holes. I have no clue what happened. The best I had managed until today was an 84. Well it might have been ditching the G15 driver and going back to the Rapture pro driver. Could that have made a 14 shot difference? I don't know.

  Just finished getting a 65 on St. Andrews......-9 after 16 holes hit the ball OB on 17 pull a triple Bogey and birdied 18 for a -7 and a missed cut. Thanks for letting me vent.

  Hi,

  I love the S Andrews old course, great job.

  I'm pretty new to the game so not scoring high, and not likely to win any championships (yet!), but I've a question about the tournament rules for the 2010 open at St Andrews.

  It says near the bottom of the rules that winners will be selected in July 2011 (sweepstakes) and August 2011 (Contest winner). Elsewhere it says that they contest winner must play their rounds at St Andrews between April 1st and May 31st 2011.  As you can see, this is impossible with the dates given, since the winner wouldn't have been announced at that time.

  Seems there is a mistake in the dates somewhere?

  That's correct.  The date for winner notifications should say 2010, not 2011.  We'll get that misprint fixed up ASAP.

  While I'm here: Thanks for a great game!

  Good luck to all in the Open.... I won't be entering a championship until I've a new set of clubs... starter plus is ok for pro tees and a new player like myself, but won't do for championship...and I have  to improve a lot anyways. Still, I love the game.

  Just had to cry to someone.....I knew the wife wouldn't listen.  I was -10 after 15 holes in the open qualifier last night.  Then, you guessed it, bogeyed 16, 17, and 18.  I lipped out a putt on 18 that would have given me a 64.  Oh well, i not through trying.  Thanks for listening.

  Well after more attempts than i can to admit to i finally made the cut.

  Now i try and consolidate my tenuous grip of 64 as im sure the cut will go lower.

  I know someone will say Bull---t but the game has changed and im struggling to shoot 69.

  I hope everyone else is having the same problems and my position my be safe.

  can you tell me why i lost 3 balls 32yrds out from the top of the bunker in 30%rough i hit 3 perfect shots and 3balls hooked 60yrds left and outta bounds  wtf is going on 112 credits spent for nothing and  at the 1st at oakmont you hit a perfect 2nd shot and it flys way right wtf is going on there im not the only person this has happend to

  rustan....i believe you are safe with that 64...22 more people would have to shoot 63 or better to KO you.  Not a definite, but i think you are in,
