When my kids are hogging my PC which has i5 processor a gig graphic card and 4 gig Ram I often use the PC which is meant to be for them which has 1 gig of Ram, 2.8 ghz dual core & no graphic card I get a perfectly smooth meter most of the time (apart from the odd pause now and again) but I put that down to internet or some one in house using laptop aswel) I have only 6.5 mbs internet speed, so I'm amazed at the smoothness and game-play i get on a PC which is WAY BELOW the minimum requirements.  I spend most of the time playing the 5hit PC as i keep better PC for music production.

I might be lucky, but one thing which might be of use, the flash plug-in I use is a very old version but I play my game on highest flsh quality, and no added program like gamebooster (i can even have flag animations on and still get a smooth meter)

If I can get smooth game with my PC, I'm sure the rest of players could with their higher spec PC.  (or is it easier to blame the meter for a slow reactions rather than yourself.LOL)

I for one think it's great that you care enough for this community to offer the help. Most people wouldn't give a shyte! Just don't know where to start on such a complex issue. I too run an old version of flash (11.3.300.265) and generally have a smooth meter, but gave up on Chrome in August. Rockmelt with Gameboost seems to work the best for me in overall reliability on this old PC, even with background sounds/music. I've noticed that I still get a stutter sometimes, and it seems to happen mostly when I'm under par. I know this is probably my head messin' w/me. But, still, can't help but think WGT is bettin' on BETA behind the curtains. And said stutter seems to get worse the higher you get in tier. I've read a lot about this issue, WGT denies it having anything to do with the VEM. I run maintenance every Sunday and still don't notice any changes in the performance of the game. The only time it gets bad is when my security runs an auto scan or there's an auto download-update running in the backround. Could go on for hours about this, but it's already been said before. Nice to see you care dude!

Some people do not have a meter problem at all and I use a laptop! Try rockmelt as your browser

Thank you sir.  See, that's my point. You're running basically the same flash version as me, but you gave up on Chrome & went to another browser & a game boost. Why don't I need that? Why can I run the same old crap, do everything wrong, & get away with it?

I don't know; just too curious for my own good I guess. I just hate not knowing or understanding things. I want an answer that just ain't coming.     Take care

It could very well be your operating system. Windows 7 doesn't work well with flash with out optimization where Vista and XP do fairly well.

I am fully aware of the different things that can cause meter stutter & I believe most all of them are on our end. If any real amount of it were on wgt's end, how would there be people, such as myself, who have no issues whatsoever?

I firmly believe that this is intentional. I reckon some folk are chosen at random, and are problem free playing the game. While others, including myself, are given the dodgy meter etc. It enables WGT to tell other folks that the problem is on their end. Its a clever ploy to keep funds coming in, and cant be proven. I reckon those who pay to play are the folk who are getting stiffed all the time. It would be interesting to hear if anyone here actually pays to play, and is problem free. Then again, it could be possible there are members who pay to play with problem free games. It would still enable WGT to defend the "The problem is on your end" argument.

Just asking here Hyena, but do you pay to play, or do you make enough from tournaments to keep going?

Your joking right? You wouldn't happen to be one of those guys that thought 911 was a conspiracy or JFK's assassination was an inside job?
