Forgive me for taking poetic liberty.

May I suggest that the next time you would like to invoke "poetic liberty", you let us know in advance? So people know it's your opinion.....and not a fact?

You found a quote where a teacher referred to her students as "her kids".

I have a great deal of respect for both of you, but please stop with this nonsense. It's neither the time nor the place for this nit-picking.

As for the ad, tasteless? Most likely yes. Shocking? Perhaps shock is the only thing that can actually wake people up and realize things need to change. But they definitely had the worst sense of timing I've seen lately.

There is a huge difference between-

"The 6 adults were all parents" and

    YankeeJim:
that very lady about those being  "her kids."

Give it a rest Jim. I said I have respect for you.....just admit when you're wrong.

Simply state- " the 6 adults killed, were like parents to their charges" and we can be done with this.

Jesus, are you so stubborn, you want to keep arguing the facts? "All the adults were not parents!" It's that simple!!

    Puholino-

I have great respect you as well, as I have for YJ,  but when someone makes a blatant lie in the forums concerning this tragedy....I can not sit still. The fact of the matter is YJ was wrong, and he should just admit his mistake and move on, or learn to word his posts correctly for clarification.

You know what? You are right Puholino! This will be my last post. This is not the time or the place for this. I have sent you and YankeeJim a friend invite. Hopefully we can all play an AS match soon.

    Merry Christmas to you both.

Don't count on it. You obviously aren't the forgiving type like I asked for when you pointed out my most egregious error in your first post. Pay no attention to the derailing of the intent of the post either, that's immaterial. It's more important that you be right so here you go.....

mrcaddie called me out for something I said. I was wrong as one can be. I did not realize ONE of the adults was not a parent. He is very right and I was very wrong. Forgiveness is not mine so I say this just for  mrcaddie.

Happy now? Now you can quit posting the link to this thread on my wall so to make sure I see it.

    Blooming hell.

So, one of the adults wasn't a parent. Is that small inaccuracy something to burn Jim at the stake for.

Perhaps, something like - actually 1 of the adults wasn't a parent, or letting it slip by, may have been more appropriate.

Jim's sentiment was spot on. And let's not turn this tragedy into an excuse of bickering or point scoring.
