I really don't know what to make of the OP's evidence or research. What I do know is the lack of Dutch avatars would have to be taken into account. Level 98 and higher Dutchman with no pants playing the game would influence the data one way or another.

What's all this fuss over a few yards???  I still use the R11s and dont feel at all "inferior" to a player who has it.  WGT are not going to unlock it to no one unless they're level 98 so no point in bothering.  No ready go is won on the drive, its your approach & especially putting which wins you a tournament.

The best statement i have heard from you in awhile and i fully agree. I want to know how many people would bet me i could not make top ten next month with the level 80 rocketball driver.

I'll go one better and use a wood in a normal ready go (not the baby tee ones either)

When all these guys get to level 98 they're going to be so disappointed with the R1 driver. Everyone is making it out to be some kind of magic wand. Yeah it's pretty accurate but then so is both the R11's and the G20. The things that knock shots off your game is R11 irons, Clevo/ATV wedges, Nike/Ghost putters & Nike balls.

Agreed - there are only a couple of drives in a round where I can tell that having the R1 gave me any advantage of the R11S.  Like I said earlier - I just reached level 98 a couple of days ago and I am sitting at #3 on the money list for the month so I don't think the R11S was hurting me too bad.  In fact, there are some holes/drives where I think that the R11S might be advantageous anyway due to the trajectory.

This will change as you play the different courses over and over. A lot of holes have become driver/wedge a la the TM days. What I find interesting about the R1 is the way it changes the way you think. The wind has a different affect on the flatter trajectory , the roll after landing is better and the accuracy will let you actually chose spots to land on to increase the drive, like a  back slope with top spin. 340-360 drives on the links courses happen more frequently.

It's not really a game changer, IMO, but it definitely is a thinking changer. :-)

I will bet you only if you get a job 1st and stop playing 12 hours a day! LOL

You would play well with hickory sticks ...

Just like always. Those who don't have it won't it. Those who have it don't think it makes that much difference. It is longer and more accurate, we know that much.
