TODAY meter speed is increased twice speed.

  Lol, not that my opinion will lend much creedence to this, but, I'll go one further and say it's not only plausible, but, quite likely. Any program designed to circumvent the way the game plays would likely involve "timing",  varying the speed of the meter would seem like an obvious move by WGT to combat any such program. ( Putting foil hat back on now).

  I apologize for any insult taken sir.  In your case the chapeau reference was a joke, hence the "LOL".

  I must say I find it odd that anyone would time the lobby song, but I'm absolutely certain that many things I do would be found totally insane by the masses.

  And I wouldn't put anything past this site in any regard.

  No harm or insult meant in your direction. Yet another issue inherent in the typed word vs the spoken.

  Forgiveness requested, but not expected.           :-)

  Edit:  in rereading your post, I must say this.  If your statement is to mean that wgt is foreshadowing the pace of the game for the upcoming session by the bpm of the lobby song; that I find highly implausible.  For the main reason I find it far beyond their scope of thinking or reason.

  And if by the slimmest of possibility they were; one soul in a million would notice & take it with that meaning.

   

  Oh I know you were joking. As to the one in a million, I'm that guy. ;)

  Up until about 4 months ago only had minor meter problems, mostly my fault. Since then maybe have played 4 or 5 games with no problems but mostly every round have 1-3 times the meter jumps way past center on downswing. WGT says to clear cache, browser etc. I have a new computer, a top end gaming mouse. It is strange WGT seems to take that stance that it is on my end. Meter jumps of course on a critical shot so I end up losing the ball majority of times. Just a load of crap !  WGT has to fix these stupid problems on their end !!!!!!

  i agree. My meter has been chattering like crazy. i have had to let it ride to the end 3-4 times before it smooths out. also have a problem with the putter all of a sudden hitting between 3 and 5 ft. longer than before. most of these problems come about right after wgt does a maintenance shutdown

  the problem i have with this stupid meter is that it's not consistant in speed. everytime i make birdie, the next hole the meter goes so fast i can't catch it. i thought i had a sloooowwww meter, but it gets going so fast it's ridicules. wgt, GET A CONSISTANT METER PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  l'm new here and excited about making birdies, and e\/en remaining w/ pars. l ha\/e had the problem of my meter running past my center on my downswing and ob\/. topping a dud shot. on a practice round that doesn't matter much, but now as l am trying to place in a couple tourneys, l get distracted as l can not make those shots up. l am not really going to let it beat me up. just hard to make strokes up. l already ha\/e a couple missed birdie opportunities on a round l need to make up. more less a ball l put in the weeds a few feet from the tee box (w/ penalty). but l really lo\/e them game they offer and really enjoy this site. by no means do l want to sound like l am complaining. another cool feature is l now ha\/e cooled down- and ready to continue my round and try to get back to par. thanks guys and good luck to ya!

  I guess I'm another member of the tinfoil hat brigade because I sincerely believe something's definitely afoot,although I don't necessarily believe that WGT is maliciously tinkering with the game just to goad me into spending more money.I,too,have had problems with the inconsistent,erratic meter of late,as well as clubs not hitting consistently from one day to the next.I've also lost more balls in the past week than I have in the last month,thanks to the erratic meter and shots not going where I aim them even when dinged,but I've been playing here long enough to know it is what it is..all you can do is slog through it and hope the WGT gods ease up on you at some point and let you play.

  Last couple days,though,I've noticed some serious issues with the greens.Like thepack,I'm seeing alot of "wth?"putts,i.e. 6-7 footers on tourney greens showing 2-3 inch uphill,little or no break,hit for 7 feet, taking off like a rocket and rolling 10 feet past the pin on a line nowhere near what I played it for even though I dinged it.I've played with my buddies and they're having the same issues..it's like your putter has a mind of it's own and the ball goes wherever it wants to,not where you're aiming,and like thepack,I started seeing this after the maintenance shutdown.

  I'm sure there'll be a few of the more seasoned players here who'll likely say "quit whining and practice more",or "it's all in your head"," it's because you suck" or some such thing,and they're right,I suppose.I may even merit the coveted WGT pat response.."clear your browser cache,ect ect." from Icon,a right of passage for every novice player,but it is nice to know it's not just happening to me.

  IMHO,this is still the best golf sim on the web,hands down,even with it's issues,it's inconsistencies and frequent boots from games.(Got booted from Cabo a couple nights ago on 18..was 5 under at the time,and of course,couldn't get back in time..60 creds and a decent game down the tubes)..but even with all that being said,it's still the best game out there..I just wish it played more consistently from day to day.

  ..and if Icon sees fit in his infinite wisdom to grace me with the coveted "clear your browser cache..." response,I'll have it framed and hang it on the wall over my pc next to the pictures of the "clubs" I own here and the snazzy avatar I just bought.Nothing screams WGT "cred" like wearing red plaid drawers and holding up a framed,official "clear your browser's cache" response from WGT.
