We actually had more than a few day of sun this summer. You needn't have told me how hot your summer is going to be, how I envy you. We currently have a wet and windy autumn.

As soon as I've got some suntan lotion we must play a round together, alanti.  We keep missing each other. I'll see you soon. Don't get burnt lol.

We had great summer here. The rain was a lot warmer than usual.

I'd recommend a good suntan lotion, preferably with a high factor. You'll be alright on St Andrews and St Georges, but those American courses sure can get hot

LOL Jason. Having lived in the UK for 10 years (some time ago now) I do recall playing golf in Surrey and getting sun burnt. Yes the only real summers day I can recall, the rest of the time it was better to have wet weather gear or thermals than a bottle of suntan lotion (the best before date probably comes before you actually use it).

Maybe the OP was referring to Aussie courses, looks like it could be a hot summer.

I lived in Surrey for 14 years, have u played all the "W" courses, Royal Wimbledon, Worplesdon, Woking, West Hill, West Byfleet, Weybridge, ( St Georges Hill ), Wentworth, Walton Heath,Wisley, West Surrey and Windlesham .

Just the greatest golfing county in England.

I live just outside Surrey, but I've not played the "W" courses. I saw the Seve trophy at Sunningdale and each year I watch the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth.

They aren't cheap courses to play. You have to be rich to be a member of Wentworth. It's a nice tree lined course. I've played it on Tiger Woods (WII).

In reply to Johns list, I only have played Walton Heath and Wentworth. It cost me zilch to play Wentworth as a friend bought a house that backed onto the course - and came with free membership! Walton Heath was expensive my memory but not quite enough to take out a sceond mortgage.

I lived in Cheam, so the Oaks in Sutton was a local haunt, partly because I would score well there but liked Coulsden Court as well, but played a few goat tracks as well, like Mitcham Common (spelling?) But played a host of others all over the place, the M25 permitting.

As for Ms Fish, I am delighted to hear the rain was at least warm this summer:)

I like the diversity of those 2 words....."Ripped Off". They can be such an abstract and offer up different emotions. Feelings of extreme pleasure & pitfalls.

    For instance.

    1. I trialled the new Ody putter, it was great but after I bought it....it seemed to play differently and now I feel a tad Ripped Off.

    &

    2. I was at a private party full of good looking chics....suddenly the lights went out and I felt my pants being Ripped Off.....then I woke up. It was only a dream.

WGT aren't ripping off anyone. They're only providing a leisure service. You can choose to stay on the bus or get off it at any time.

    Goodnight & God Bless.
