([quote user"geraldlarousse"] I'm sure the shots i was seeing was my inability to aim correctly.[/quote)

18 months here; TL in 645 rounds; 10’ distance to pin and 65% one putts.  Only two possible causes for that after 1627 RRs:

    1. You are a the luckiest here even though who would not know the difference between a starter set and a better set.  In which case of course you had all the luck in one 18 month spell, and the balls miraculously finding their way to the hole against all your efforts just had to stop sooner or later.

    2.  Second possibility is that through hard graft you got better at the game, and can in fact tell the difference between a starter set and a better set. If that's the case one has to accept the fact that you can tell if a ball is going where you aimed it or not.

These forums are for opinion's, and thank you for yours. For one I will say My dulcet tones shall continue sweetly.

Interesting that on the last point when I was around 8 me and a mate were called to the front of a singing lesson by a nun. She said you are not singing.  I retorted because I can’t, and so the old bag made us sing.   Anyways the old sour then said you can’t sing, I replied I thought I already bloody told you that are you deaf.  Got in trouble for that one, but makes me laugh to this day.

(quote user"slillico"]Thank you WGT if you had anything at all to do with this obvious correction.[/quote)

(quote user"YankeeJim"]Interesting thought, given no apparent update.  :-)[/quote)

Also very interesting though Jim is many were having the issue, who they were and how considered in the approach. People should not lose sight of that aspect.

Nah on this one whatever the cause was the effect was was not missable.  Equally not missable was it stopping.  Don’t understand it.

(quote user"borntobesting"]Too many started playing without any thought about their cache which might have still held  some remnants of the R11 irons data.[/quote)

As an experienced forum poster did you just not bother reading the thread,  or did you skim it too quickly? ...Obvious stuff was dusted away very early as is usual.

Heh, that's what makes it interesting, Jim. I believe you and the only way I can rationalize it was by thinking something went bump in the middle of the night. (Or, in your case, the middle of the day.)  ;-)

After reading this whole thread through to the end im very pleased to say that it all brought me back to the conclusion i already had ( by testing, practice and recognition of what works for my game. ) that IMO the R11`s +Lvl 48 Nikes are the way to go.  I also like to use a totally different ball at times and at random which helps to dial in your clubmanship even further ... the Legend Cally`s  with xtra distance & less spin are fantastic & will find the green quickly xtra work with putting though...

                          cheers  ...  GypsyG.

this replay is for me reason enough.

    BolloxInBruges:

In my own experience it's extremely rare for me to be greatly dissatisfied with the result of a dinged shot with nikes or R11s w/ any type of balls.  Bad shots almost always my fault.

    Amen, brother. Nuf said.

What are your experiences with shots from the rough with these guys?

Just played 3rd at Congo in a CC comp, found 40/50 with 180 to go punched the 4 iron with full top spin (a shot I find a high success rate with the R11's) and it stopped at 145 yards. took it on the chin and moved on. Assuming maybe I was expecting a bit too much.

Practice mode, hit the ball into the same area, 40/50 but with 190 to go. hit 3 iron this time, punch f/t/s and went through the back of the green. Hit 3 iron punch no spin, missed ding and finished middle of the green.

Hit 4 iron punch and got the 140 odd yard shot again, no matter what spin or ding or miss.

That 40- 50 yard gap between the clubs on the same shot can't be right can it? Can't get my head round that at all.

    Any tips?

For around 2 weeks I have big problems in getting the distance right with the Nike L97 irons. Does anyone have the same problem or is it just me?

I have had disappointment punching the Nike irons as well. The R11's were dependable and the 4 iron always went 174 out of 40-50, but not so with these Nikes.

Will have to work on it.

Thx for the feedback guys, so I'm not the only one having some problems. Hopefully I'll get better again.
