YankeeJim: ScottHope: Determining the attribute of a piece of golfing equipment via a series of dots is faster than reading a number and comparing it to another number.
Including determining if a dot is at 1/4, 1/2 or 3/4? I don't think so. They've only been whole and half dots up to now. A month from now this will be forgotten.
With the old system we only had half or whole dots. I wasn't referring to something which we never had.
Chinajohn: I respectfully disagree, when I look at a number I immediately know which number is higher, if I look at a series of dots I have to count them and that takes longer, especially if you have half dots.
We will have to agree to disagree then John. I firmly believe that the graphical representations of a numeric values are easier to compare to each other than the numeric values themselves. Why else would we be so fond of charts to present data?
