With the old system we only had half or whole dots. I wasn't referring to something which we never had.

The point was to illustrate the failings of the dot system. 1/4 and 3/4 dots would be the only way WGT could keep from maxing out the dots and still improve the equipment. Now they can go a tenth at a time.

I agree that the old system was limited and something had to change but is the maximum attribute value going to remain at five?

Alls equipments are ranked by 0.5 increment, except the new Nike driver which have 4.6 on forgivness.

What practical difference between 4.5 and 4.6 ? Mainly on forgivness lol.

Hello fellow golfers.  I have to say that I'm middle of the road on the new numbers over dots system.  I can see that WGT can now raise the system to say a top of the line club having 10 dots as opposed to the 5 dot maximum, I just wish the was some indication of just what the maximum is/was.  As for reading the dots or numbers faster I liked the dot system better, I could see--more dots better attribute, but I can muddle along with the new system.  Here WGT could have just increased the number of dots to 10 (just double all existing club stats as well).  What I do not like is the meter speed number.  Here I wish WGT kept the dial, add a number designations as well but kept the meter.  With the new system we have stats going up for better stats and going down for better meter speed.  My biggest rub on the new system is as a level 89 and change, I was looking forward to buying the Max slow speed driver at level 91 and I was comparing various clubs as well (window shopping).  Now I've got WGT starter clubs right next to the more elite clubs.  I really wish WGT would put back the old sorting system or add a "sort by level" option to the new system.  I do agree that in a couple of weeks I will get used to the number over dot system and this does allow WGT the option to add more clubs to the game by slipping them in between the cracks, so to speak.

Human mind always want simple. Otherwise we never evolve. We always wants things simpler. Analog (dot) system is quick to read.

But again  number system we will get used once we play more and more...I was thinking its better to have both options.

    Dots are easy readability.

    Thats all.

That's only because the dots were either full or half full. The new driver attribute showing that 4.6 illustrates how much flexibility WGT now has with everything else. All of a sudden a 4.5 dot attribute can now be monkeyed with 5 more times before its full. LOL

Unless I am mistaken counting there are 278 differents clubs and balls. All rated by 0.5 increment except the new Nike driver.  This does not make sense.

Nobody will convince me that something is other than a mistake and that caused a bug in the display of equipment ratings.

What doesn't make sense? Everything was converted to the new system using the existing # of dots. The driver is brand new-never had those dots-and is the first club to have something different than a whole or half dot value. Not rocket science to see what they did.
